Subject: [hlds] tf_mm_strict values swapped

There is a bug with the tf_mm_strict change in the update we released a few
minutes ago.

The values as documented are swapped between 1 and 2.

In this update:

tf_mm_strict 1 currently DOES NOT allow direct connections

tf_mm_strict 2 currently DOES allow direct connections

We’ll release an optional update shortly to fix this to match the
documentation.

[hlds_linux] TF MvM Mission Cycle File (Categories)

2012-08-17 Thread Alan Kennedy

Hi:
I've noticed there are two categories defined in the tf_mvm_missioncycle.res.
The first one just have the three maps with what i think are "normal" bot
difficulty / pop files. The second category defined seems to go in Advanced
Mode, then rotate the same 3 maps in Advanced2 / Ironman.

What changes must i make in order for my servers to startup on the Second
Category of that mission cycle file? Do i have to edit it and make just one
category for the advanced / advanced2, removing the first one or is there any
CVAR to load the second category and never fetch the "easy" one?.

Thx, Alan //

Re: [hlds_linux] [hlds] TF MvM hosting questions

2012-08-17 Thread Alan Kennedy

Fletcher, if that three-value variable is possible, it would be much
appreciated. Since the slots are not that many, i'm having trouble trying to
give priority for my Gamers Community on the TF2 MvM servers. They know the IP,
but i seem to get a lot of browser joins from other countries (with high ping)
as well due to the high demand on the mod.

The other option would be to just set a password but i'm not pro-locked servers.

I suppose other are in the same position.

Thx!.

Best Regards, Alan //

Actually i would like to just get Direct Connectons through console or Game

What's the proper configuration then for allowing Only 6 players to connect
(Matchmaking or Direct Connect) and no specatators allowed? I've tried
differente approaches, right now i have:

sv_visibleplayers "6"
mp_allowspectarors "0"
tf_mm_servermode "0"
tf_mm_strict "0"

The goal here is to allow Direct Connections, regardless of MatchMaking ones.

all 32 slot + 6 visible slots

[hlds_linux] CS:Go Beta Keys - For Big Gaming Community?

2012-05-14 Thread Alan Kennedy

Hi:
Sorry to ask here but i'm not being able to get a proper contact for this.
Does anyone know the proper contact/email for me to ask for a couple of CS:GO
Beta Keys in order to have a giveway for my community here in Argentina,
through contests or by other means?

It's a 1 Million+ gamers community (foros.3dgames.com.ar) for Spanish Spoken
Gamers (LATAM), and i've been looking for some contact email in Valve's &
Steam's site but couldn't find any actually, i mean the emails are like for
jobs, licensing, education, etc, but not a direct commercial or business
contact.

I'd like to promote the game here, since we're hosting dedicated servers now.

Thx for any hint you might have.

Best Regards,
 Alan //

Re: [hlds_linux] Running a CS:GO Dedi Server

2012-04-16 Thread Alan Kennedy

Does anyone have the appropiate email where i should contact Valve on this
matter? We do hold a big gaming community and would like to host some Beta
Servers as well in Argentina to do some testing for our users since we plan on
hosting CS:GO dedicated servers when it launches.

Thx!.

Re: [hlds_linux] [hlds] Mandatory Team Fortress 2 Update Released

2011-11-19 Thread Alan Kennedy

After this update, it seems that 3 out of 6 servers we have, didn't update
correcly, since the console receives this message and servers don't get listed
anymore:

L 11/19/2011 - 20:21:57: server_cvar: "sv_tags"
"HLstatsX:CE,_registered,classlimit,nocrits,nodmgspread,payload,valvemaps"
MasterRequestRestart
Your server needs to be restarted in order to receive the latest update.

Running the updater again, won't do anything, it just states that it's update
to date (yeah with -verify_all).

Anyone had this issue along the past?

My clients are crashing just like a while back when people couldn't finish a
map without crashing at least once.

VERY annoying.

We've released a mandatory update for Team Fortress 2. The notes for the update
are below.

Thanks.

-Eric

Team Fortress 2
- Added new promo items
- Fixed a bug preventing some server-side quickplay filtering from working,
causing clients to ping too many servers
- Fixed a bug where an item with an empty craft_class (e.g. the Apoco-Fists)
could be obtained via crafting
- Fixed an exploit that allowed untradable items to be traded with Steam
trading
- Web API changes:
- Added flag_cannot_craft to GetPlayerItems web API output
- Added description_string and description_format for some hidden attributes in
the GetSchema output
- Updated Pl_Upward
- Fixed a teleporter griefing position near control point B
- Updated Pl_Barnblitz
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to get into the opposing team's respawn room
- Updated the localization files

Re: [hlds_linux] Server not starting?

2011-08-16 Thread Alan Kennedy

Our servers are not starting since last update. We get a shared library issue.
Error state as follows:

steam@tf2:~/srcds_1/orangebox$ ./srcds_run -debug -console -game tf +ip
200.51.203.239 -port 27015 +map ctf_2fort
Auto detecting CPU
Using default binary: ./srcds_linux
Enabling debug mode
Server will auto-restart if there is a crash.
Failed to open dedicated.so (libgcc_s.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory)
cat: hlds.18894.pid: No such file or directory
email debug.log to li...@valvesoftware.com
