Subject: [hlds_linux] Crashes after update

We're still seeing crashes.

The conditions seem to be: map time ran out but round is being finished
and a long stalemate was going on.

The quick-fix thing was a coincidence.

Somehow our server keeps crashing near the end of the cp_process map. The
other new map it plays through nicely. The crash occurs each time near

the

end of process but I can't figure out how to replicate it.

One of our players said he just got the bug and seconds after the server
went down.

I've only seen this in videos, but apparently the healing effects of

the

quick-fix uber are not ending if the round resets (such as by ending

or

restart vote). Meaning that the former medic (and their patient?)
continually have the quick fix effect applied forever, even after they

die

(i.e. headshot or backstab) and respawn.

This can be exploited easily on the winning team, since they can still
activate ubers before the end of the round.

Has anyone notice the server crashing with the quick-fix bug?

One of our players said he just got the bug and seconds after the server went
down.

I can confirm the Quick-Fix bug. Was able to replicate it myself.

Re: [hlds_linux] crashes after update 2nd of August (minidumps)

2011-08-03 Thread ics
I'm seeing 0 crashes so far on our servers. I'll wait another day though
before jumping to any conclusions. No bots, no replay, seems stable so
far. I'll enable replay on one tomorrow, just to see how it affects.

Hi Fletch,

Here's a bunch of new mini dumps. Crashing has gone way down, but still
occasionally crashes are observed. I am not entirely sure about the first
mini-dumps if they are with the new update applied, however, the ones
timestamped on the 3rd of August are for sure after the update.

Btw, tf2items on Linux doesn't work (makes crashes too) so make sure you
don't send in those if you have/had it running.

Strange crash dumps. They seem broken, not openable with any debugging
program.
