AllenI just noticed that you are in Dallas. I am writing you off of list because I just wanted to envite you to our support meeting that we have on the first Thursday of each month. Hear, let me tell you a little about our group. What is the All Eyes group ? We are a support group of adults, who are blind or partially sighted and family members impacted by blindness. If you have been diagnosed with an eye condition, been in an accident, or have a disease that has led to the loss of all or most of your sight, or if you have become a caregiver for someone who has, joining a support group may be the most important thing you will ever do. Our meetings offer an opportunity to talk to others, share common concerns, frustrations, and stories, and find solutions to vision-related difficulties. At All Eyes meetings you will meet and make friends with people who understand the issues you face and know exactly what you are going through. But that's not all, At all eyes we have fun. When attending an All Eyes group meeting, you may often find yourself laughing. In addition to our monthly meetings we have birthday and holiday parties. We have fun at game nites. And we have meet ups at local restaurants. While we all know that being blind isn't easy, we promote a positive approach and believe that we still can work, have fun, make friends and live valuable and productive lives. The All Eyes group meets at 10:00 AM on the first Thursday of every month to network and share information on topics relating to vision loss . Re: [JAWS-Users] combo boxds
Hi, There are different types of combo boxes in the internet. In my iBank, it's enter and arrow down or up to change to a different combo box. In the Veteran VA website it's shift tab, then tab. Then, use your up or down arrow to select a care giver. And as posted, alt + down arrow. Meetings are held at REACH Resource Center, which is located at 8625 King George Dr. in Dallas. Anyone, who is dealing with issues related to blindness, is welcome to attend. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 15 can't read PDF
Hello. Don't know why JAWS behaves the same on my computer having adobe reader xi as well. To overcome this problem, what I simply do is that if jaws say blank, I simply minimize this window, and maximize again. Now it will be readable. But finally I've remove this version of adobe reader, and still using the old version which is adobe reader 9. and it is working fine for me. Re: [JAWS-Users] jfw and antispyware software issues
One solution for running Malware Bytes is to schedule the scans when your machine is up and running. Several times, I opened the Malware Bytes application and navigated around the window. Later I discovered the program was running scans when I was in the window; however, I don't know what I did to cause this event to occur. You may have to have some sighted assistance to schedule scans; I don't remember if I was able to schedule them independently. Try using the OCR function in JAWS when you find instances of no text being read by JAWS. I want to do this on a regular basis but I updated the version and can't get around it wanting to install a trial version of the software. I tried this with both screen readers. Does anybody have any clues as to how to run a scan with this seemingly uncooperative version of malware bytes and a screen reader or should another software be used? I already use Microsoft security essentials? Any help would be most graciously appreciated. Thanks and have a blessed day. Dear friend, why are you using old adolbi reader? If you are windows XP user, disable protect mood and continue to use adolbi reader. For that, press ctrl-K then go to enhance security from there you uncheck from protect mood.
