Hi Jaws users group.
I combined all 9 parts of the Settings area of w-10 into one Word document
of about 11,000 words.
Now, this my second project.
I have changed, added to, subtracted from, clarified, and organized, all
previous TXT files on customizing w-10 with Jaws, into this one file.
All feedback and comments are welcome as always.

Mike, when I find links that don't seem to do anything, I go to that
link, right click to see if there is an open command. if not, make sure
that the pc cursor is on the link by reading the current cursor
position, numpad 5. the other alternative is to OCR the window to see if
any text has been found, and check it out, and clicking any words
associated with actual links.

Most times, when you press the Alt + F key combination, nothing really
happens, you will have to arrow down to start seeing the items under the f

Kevin,

You can disable the backstage view by going to the File menu, tab down to
Options, under Word options you want to be on General, then tab down to
startup options, and then on down to where it says "Show the start screen
when this program opens", uncheck this box, and then tab down to the OK
button and press enter. Now the backstage view will not open when you open
Word. You will get a blank document.

I would rather pull my hair out, one by one then use a web based email
service.
None of them come close to a simple email client.
Even though I can not stand Outlook, I would happily use it before using a
web based email service.
Yes, I have tried Outlook.com, it was OK, through my email client.
Using it on the web, I had too do to much, jumping around and switching Web
pages, wasted a lot of time, much faster with a email client.
If you are away from home, I guess you could make it work OK.
But for a blind person to use the web based services as their primary
email,LOL. Pull out my nose hairs as well.Ouch.

about 11,000 words.
Now, this my second project.
I have changed, added to, subtracted from, clarified, and organized, all

Hi Jaws users group.
I combined all 9 parts of the Settings area of w-10 into one Word document of
about 11,000 words.
Now, this my second project.
I have changed, added to, subtracted from, clarified, and organized, all
previous TXT files on customizing w-10 with Jaws, into this one file.
All feedback and comments are welcome as always.

[JAWS-Users] JAWS says new paragraph and new line in word document

2015-10-24 Thread Neil Towery
Hello JAWS Gang:

When in a word document, JAWS is saying, "new paragraph," "new line," and
"new paragraph."

I did insert V and went through all that, but did not understand how to
change the noise. Also, went to Text processing in the jaws default
settings, but understood none of that, either.

How do I turn this extra noise off?

Thanks. Neil

I need to complete an assignment but emboss it to send a braille assignment.

The six key entry when pressing fjkls says like A, lower A but how in the

This software has scrips but I'm not sure seeing as its my first time doing
something like this if jaws is echoing things correctly.

I must point out that if you wish to have the word document posted on the
server rather than the text message included in this email please send it to
me privately as the list does not allow attachments.

Customizing w-10 with Jaws.

the latest version of Jaws to your Download folder.
2. If you upgraded to w-10 from w-7 or w-8.1, you need to uninstall Jaws,
you can keep shared components and shared settings, so, uninstall Jaws 16 or

3. You then can use Narrator, press Windows key+Enter, to turn Narrator

5. This has proven to increase the performance of Jaws on w-10, especially,
in the Start button area, the live tile region, and in the Settings area of
w-10.
6. Redo your Jaws shortcut keystroke, Control+ALT+J.
7. Redo your Jaws setting to make sure, that it is set to come on at the

For whatever reason these two settings are not saved, all other Jaws
