Could have be a bit clearer in bugzilla. I will attach link to the patch to my bugreport, too. Thanks very much, that was the basis for further testing of 1.5.0 for me. phil

The command is simply: sudo locale-gen de_DE and german umlauts will work. With respect to the packages on ftp.lyx.org and on the wiki it is best to install them with sudo dpkg -i *.deb But before, install lyx from the dapper repositories once to have all the dependencies and thereafter remove the old version completely with sudo apt-get remove --purge lyx lyx-qt lyx-common Unfortunately, backports from edgy are not possible at the moment due to build-dependendency issues. phil
Re: background color or gray level of tabular cells/rows/columns
You seem to have formated the row as sans serif font including the ert. Remove sans serif from the ert and it should work (that's at least how I reproduced it) phil Original-Nachricht Datum: Fri, 06 Oct 2006 19:01:31 +0100 Von: Frederic Fol Leymarie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> An: Maria Gouskova <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Betreff: Re: background color or gray level of tabular cells/rows/columns > thanks, > > I tried what is indicated under the wiki page. > > But I keep getting an error > (using only a single call to \rowcolor{blue} on the first cell of a > table): > > --- > Misplaced \noalign. > \textsf{\rowcolor{blue}} > & > I expect to see \noalign only after the \cr of > an alignment.
