RE: No sound from built-in speakers.
hello you could try putting a cocktail stick gently in the headphone socket and see if the little pin as got stuck which can happen or use compressed air and give it good squirt to see if that will free it that was what I was told to do but my socket is fried and I need a new logic board also I have no start up chime so that might be related to a wonky socket hope this helps -Original Message- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Anders Holmberg Sent: Monday, March 09, 2015 4:42 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: No sound from built-in speakers. Re: No sound from built-in speakers.
Is it muted? If you have an Apple keyboard, and accidentally hit F10, your speakers will be muted. Remember that headphone volume is different, so even though the internal speaker is muted, the headphone volume is not. That is, checking sound settings with headphones in will not report the settings for when headphones are removed. All that to say, try pressing f10 (or function-f10, depending on your settings) with headphones unplugged and see what happens. Re: No sound from built-in speakers.
Hi! No its not muted. That was the first thing i checked. I have a braille display so i can still use the mac (or sort of use) but speech is a must as braille presentation is far from jaws or window eyes. /A 9 mar 2015 kl. 13:35 skrev Alex Hall mehg...@icloud.com: Is it muted? Re: No sound from built-in speakers.
Hi! This is quite odd. THe thing is that i didn't do anything except from ripiing cd-s with itunes. And i had the voiceover speech in my logitech h800 so i was using braille. I also had the system sounds in my logitech headphones. I then changed the system soud and voiceover sound to the built-in speaker. THen i left the computer and it went into sleep mode. /A 9 mar 2015 kl. 22:58 skrev Matthew Dyer ilovecountrymusic...@outlook.com: Hi, I am going through the same problem.
