Richard, I think it's time to stop this thread, in its tracks, because I don't want to lay anything on anyone's reputation and, although I agree with you wholeheartedly, on the subject of that Main Menu segment, I don't want to cast aspersions on the gentleman who made it; he was just trying to help and this conversation is not helping matters. I just wish I could get to the crux of the matter and get some coherent instructional material on Total Recorder. Perhaps I will contact High Criteria Support, as was suggested, for more "tips"! Hi Mac, I'll be perfectly honest, that tutorial was very painful to listen to. it was long-winded, and really didn't give anymore imformation, than a user could have discovered on their own. Frankly I 'm disappointed that ACB Radio would air a tutorial of such poor quality, and content. fast forward in wmp 10
If you tab around in wmp 10, eventually you come to a fast forward button, right after the seek button. Activate it by pressing the space bar. I think that it has three speeds before returning you to the play position. It seems to work quite well, and doesn't hang, as it often seemed to in other versions. I never used it because of that, so I forgot all about it. Hi Jay. I thought I'd seen somewhere that you needed specific drivers to use startsmart but that they are available if you're using XP. I've just tried it and it worked ok. However, I wouldn't choose to use startsmart. The Nero burning ROM interface is a lot quicker and easier to use. I'd be very surprised if easy cd creator didn't have an option for removing gaps between tracks. With Nero, you would select all tracks in the compilation and then choose the option to remove the 2 second gap. There really should be an equivalent in easy cd creator rather than it being left to personal judgement. Every station or streamer who use this program to play their streams seem to work; however, one particular station (www.daytonjazz.com) will not play for some reason. I cannot understand why it is not playing. I click on the link, go to the "listen live" link and press enter, but I only get a clicking sound and no music. Now, on the otherhand, I can move down the page a few links, click on an interview with a certain artist this station made and plays in WMP10, and the stream or link plays. The live link is the only one that does not play. What could possibly be the trouble. I had the same problem with WMP9 series. I get the same problem on my work system (Windows 2000) and both profiles on my system (Windows XP Professional/Service Pack 2). It's iritating and, if someone can answer, this question, please do. OTSDJ: Well, I reinstalled OTSDJ recently and made the necessary updates and clicked on the program (OTSDJ), but there is a static sound that I cannot get rid of. Previously, I went to the Graphics Equalizer window and changed the slider and I got a clean unstatic sound, but now I cannot get rid of it. I think the gtrouble is in the Tools Menu (Graphics Equalizer and Dynamics Processor), but nothing works. If anyone knows which area to do this in, do let me know. The sound is like a scratched record. I know you can get rid of it because I did before, but something has changed and I can't figure it out now. I hope to hear from someone soon on this matter. DRAGGING AND DROPPING IN EASY CDDA extracter
