Multi Track Recording Software

2010-07-27 Thread Dane Trethowan
Okay, I've had a brief look at the beta version of this for Mac which can be
downloaded from http://ntrack.com/download-mac.php but I'm not sure just how
accessible the software is as the software is out of my league so perhaps
someone else who is a musician or similar can download the software and let us
know.

I can tell you that multiple windows open when the software is run and some of
those such as the transport window seem to have accessible toolbars.

If there's a menu system at all anywhere within the software then I haven't as
yet been able to access it.

Olympus DM-4

2010-07-27 Thread Paul (Pawel) Loba

Hi there,

Is any of you Listers using Olympus DM-4 unit? If yes, where did you find
any documentation for it regarding its DAISY/text format navigation and so
on?

The product supposed to be aimed toward our community in terms of its
accessibility but so far I got mixed feelings about it. Hopefully, there is
something since according to Olympus their DM-2 DM-4 were approved by
DAISY Consortium.

Best,

Pawel.

Converting ACC to MP3 with Itunes

2010-07-27 Thread Frank Ventura
Hello all, I have about 200 songs that I have downloaded in the PC

able to convert them to a format that will play on my VR stream (MP3?).
What is the easiest means of accomplishing this?

Live 365, new Website less accessible?

2010-07-27 Thread Larry Naessens
I own a station and have a VIP membership at Live 365. So I am concerned with
what I see as accessibility issues arising from the recent roll out of the the
new Live 365 website. As a Mac user, I'm wondering if, especially windows
users, are noticing something similar to what I'm seeing.

Most important, the play button formerly in place to launch individual
station streams has been removed, to be replaced by an image which is not
spoken by Voiceover. This applies to the specific stream being promoted on any
given Live 365 station page. So, for instance,if someone using Voiceover surfs
to my page, they can't access my station's stream. Is it the same with a
windows screen reader?

Further, some of the other links on individual station pages don't seem to
work. For one thing, the link to my presets page, though spoken by Voiceover,
does not work when the proper keyboard command is executed.

I'm not going to promote my station here, as this is not the proper venue for
it. But I am concerned that blind listeners may be experiencing problems when
trying to listen to a Live 365 stream, such as mine. The website makeover took
place in the last couple of days. So, since the new site was introduced, has
anybody besides me noticed a problem in accessing individual streams and links
while using a screen reader?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Larry

Hi!

With the new software upgrade doesn't the Stream handle the playing of Itunes
unprotected content? If so then all you need do is transfer your content across
to the Music folder on the SD memory card used by your stream.

In that case I'd use Itunes or another tool to convert the AAC to MP3, I just
refuse to pay any extra money for software to Human Ware, I paid enough for the
Stream as is, only my opinion of course and Human Wear have really let Stream
users down by charging extra for this sort of thing.

Hello Larry,
I have an account on LIVE 365,
But when I log in to it, I can't get at any of my presets.
I had allot of jazz stations presat so that I could listen to them anytime I

Now being a JFW user, I feel that, that has been taken away from us.
I haven't tried it on my Mack system yet, but I will do that sometime this

My best regards.

It's $49, but you will need it.

Hi thanks, would the stream need that fifty dollar software upgrade or
will
it work with just the default stream software, assuming the latest
version.
Thanks
Frank

Hi!

With the new software upgrade doesn't the Stream handle the playing of
Itunes unprotected content? If so then all you need do is transfer your
content across to the Music folder on the SD memory card used by your
stream.

Hello all, I have about 200 songs that I have downloaded in the PC

What is the easiest means of accomplishing this?
 Thanks

Can ITunes convert the files to .mp3? If so can it convert a large
number of files at the same time?

In that case I'd use Itunes or another tool to convert the AAC to MP3, I
just refuse to pay any extra money for software to Human Ware, I paid
enough for the Stream as is, only my opinion of course and Human Wear
have really let Stream users down by charging extra for this sort of
thing.

Yep as far as I know it can, just select the files you want to convert or put
them into a Playlist.
