RE: watching tv on my computer?
Yeah, that's the thing. We'll just have to see if he means home basic, or Home Premium. If he means Basic, then you're right. If it's Premium, then he has it and all he needs do after connecting the TV box to the toner, is hit ALT Windows Inter In other words, we're lacking some info here.. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Dane Trethowan Sent: Friday, June 28, 2013 11:23 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: watching tv on my computer? You connect the PC to a TV tooner card instead of a TV. In other words, for this, think of your PC as a TV. I had a whole bunch of stuff on this. But my hard drive on which I did is damaged. Um, you can search for stuff on Microsoft's site, just note you'll see a lot of stuff for XP and Vista. The stuff for Win 7 is on Windows Media Center.com but it's very general. All very much depends on what sort of hardware you're running, the Direct TV box may have a USB socket in which case a cable is run between the computer and the box. I take it that by "Direct TV" we're referring to some sort of cable or satellite box right? Re: watching tv on my computer?
You're using Windows 7, do you know what version of Windows 7 you're using? If you're using Windows 7 Premium and above then you can use the built-in Windows Media Center tool, its quite accessible with Window-Eyes. RE: Problem With Winamp Playlist Editor
Good. Well denny huff from the old blind computing list taught me how to use winamp for play lists. That is the play list editor. And if you google short cut keys winamp you will get a whole list of them. And I use windows media for burning the mp3 files to cds for the car. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Larry Naessens Sent: Friday, June 28, 2013 15:54 To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Problem With Winamp Playlist Editor Thanks very much Steve. RE: Problem With Winamp Playlist Editor
Hi Larry. Glad you got your issue resolved with Winamp. If you ever encounter this problem again, first, see if the playlist editor has focus. If it does, hit CTRL+TAB to get to another Winamp window, then hit ALT+E to close the playlist editor. ALT+W toggles the Winamp main window. Have a good day, and don't work too hard. GO REDS!
