I just looked into the clock screensaver and can't see anycode like "if alarmTime>24 don't draw icon". So on first looks it seems indeed that the server is managaging this (and that this would influence the fallback alarm on monday mornings). -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential. So if the player just stands there without doing anything it won't get the next alarm. I'm not sure if this also will affect the local fallback alarm if the Radio loses the contact with the server. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
Looked right now - I have an alarm tomorrow morning. Radio is in Soft-Power-Off showing the original clock-screensafer. I can't see an alarm icon. I turn the radio on - alarm icon appears on the lower bar, I turn the radio off - alarm icon is now also shown in the 'off' screensafer. -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
OK - happened again this morning. No alarm for Saturday and Sunday, so no alarm icon (I am using Custom Clock screensaver setup with Alarm Icon and Time display). After Sunday AM, however, it should show active alarm for Monday. The display didn't update on my screensaver until I turned Radio ON and then Off, and the alarm icon and time showed correctly. It's a minor thing, but it is a bug. Since I'm using Custom Clock, it's not clear if it's a SBS, Radio, or Custom Clock issue, although since it sounds like the OP had same issue with a built-in display I'd say it's likely NOT unique to Custom Clock. -- tcutting tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

H... Interesting point - I'll check to see if I have a custom clock screen showing when the power is off - Thnak for the suggestion. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
As you mention, that is the correct behavior, the alarm icon should show if there is a scheduled alarm within the next 24 hours. I noticed a similar issue with the OP's when I was using one of the custom clock screensavers... when I turned the radio off and on, it correctly updated the screen (that was a soft off/on, not a full power off). -- tcutting tcutting's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17402 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio

You are right, my bad. I don't have an alarm icon right now because next alarm is only on monday. -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential. In my experience, the alarm icon is only present when the alarm fires within the next 24 hours. My alarm is also set for Monday to Friday at 6:00 AM. After it fires on Friday I do not see any alarm icon until sunday at 6:01 AM. I've actualy been up and witnessed the alarm icon re-appear on Sunday mornings. Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
It appears that the Radio alarm icon will not drop off on "off" days if you simply hit the Off button - Need to first turn the alarm to off, then push the Off button. It's still a bug for me - I am using an SB3 remote until my Radio remote arives - Radio is intentionally across the room - I like to just hit Off on the remote and be done with it. Works the way I want it to on the Boom. I think i voted for the bug, also - Hard to tell. Thanks. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
Re: [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
As far as I know the radio just looks if there is a 'next' alarm and then shows the icon (even when 'next' means in two days). So maybe you should raise a bug-report on this in bugzilla (remember to post the link, so that people can vote for it to be fixed). -- bluegaspode 1x SB-Controller+Receiver (Duet), 1xSB-Boom. 1xSB-Radio Server (7.4.1) running on SheevaPlug (Ubuntu) with attached Western Digital MyBook Essential. [SlimDevices: Radio] Radio Alarm Indicator Issue
My SB Radio appears to work OK with : SBS Version: 7.4.2 - r30215 Firmware: 7.4.2-r8423 However - I have the alarm set for M-F, with Sat and Sun clear - For Sat and Sun, no alarm sounds, but the alarm icon still appears. If I go to the server page, on say Sat, all looks OK, but the alarm icon is still there for Sun - But no alarm on Sun (as intended) - Just an alarm icon. On Mon, the alarm sounds. If I go into the alarm settings in the Radio, again it appears to be correct. but when I exit, the alarm icon is gone. On sun, it appears again for M-F, but on Friday, the icon is again there for Sat. We also have a Boom, and the icon appears to be working fine on it - Present if the alarm is to go off the next day - Not present if the alarm is not supposed to go off the next day. Has anyone seem this behavior? thanks. -- whdean whdean's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75726 ___ Radio mailing list Radio@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
