Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server does not scan OPUS file from my UNRAID server
Unfortunately that scanner.log and the screenshot are from an online library scan only. In that case the scanner doesn't even look at your local files. As for the numbers in the first screenshot: they don't match anything in the other screenshot. What's below those file type folders? Please enable scanner logging (Settings/Advanced/Logging), scan for new files, then grab the log file again. Its probably not a transcode binary routing but rather one of 1/ the format set for the player has been updated 2/ the internal mp4 to adts frame extraction that now allows any aac player to handle mp4 is not activated. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Most recent MacOS update broke LMS?
I'm trying to get a new build with a signed Perl out... but somehow Github doesn't want to accept my new file. It's been hanging for... half an hour? Or rather more. Anyway: I have a perl binary which should be signed. If you feel willing and able to tinker on the command line, please try the following: - Download https://www.dropbox.com/s/33y6sucf05rqj0x/perl.tar.bz2?dl=0 - Extract the archive - Copy the resulting perl file to /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/perl/bin/perl You can then: Code: codesign -v --verify /Library/PreferencePanes/Squeezebox.prefPane/Contents/perl/bin/perl And it should give you some positive result. Does that change the behavior compared to the binary currently shipped? Michael "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!" Okay. I guess at least it helps that I was able to pinpoint the problem to a fairly limited set of commits even though from my perspective I really need to restrict myself to the ones that are tagged as release. I've not done any deep investigation towards the actual cause but if I were to guess I'd say that something that used to be optional became compulsory and attempts to route the stream through a transcode binary that does in fact not exist on my system as I deliberately made these optional in the installer and did not select them for my personal target system. gordonb3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117085 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8.1.1 (and above) break radio streaming on SB Radio
Yesterday I upgraded my LMS from version 8.0.0 to 8.2.0, not noticing anything wrong. This morning the alarm on Radio did the tsjiboom thing and as I investigated I found that Radio refused to play the active media which happened to be a radio station (I did find out later that it still does play local media). Receiver and Touch were not affected, not sure about Boom as I initially neglected to identify that the issue was restricted to radio stations and the current track on the Boom was a local media file. As LMS reported an issue with the Radio's firmware (with the version patch) I tried updating it with the community version but it wouldn't accept it and so I downgraded to 8.1.0 (there is no 8.0.1 install as mentioned in the forum post about the community firmware?) and I managed to get the community firmware on. It still states the following though: Code: You seem to be using a Radio with an outdated firmware, not recognizing this version of Logitech Media Server. Please consider patching it. Get more information. ... Player Information Player Model: Squeezebox Radio Player Type: baby Firmware: 8.0.1-r16907 Player IP Address: Radio happily played the stream though and I went back to 8.2.0 only to find that it was broken again. So I stepped down again, this time to version 8.1.1 and it was still broken. So somewhere between commit 'effae84 and dd356a4' (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/compare/effae84...dd356a4) it went bust. My guess is that the issue may be related to one or more of the commits about transcoding somehow conflicting with the '--notranscoding' command line option. gordonb3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71050 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117085 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Weird library behaviour
Hi! I never had problems with the media library. Normally I just copy a new album to my music folder on the disk and then rescan the library ("Look for new and changed media files"). Voila! the new album appears under "My music" or "New Music". Today something weird happened: I copied a new album to the library folder, then rescanned the library. The new album appeared. But I had made a mistake, so I deleted the album from the disk and rescanned the library. The album disappeared from the media library. Okay. I then copied the album again to the disk and rescanned again. But now the album doesn't appear in "New Music". It also doesn't appear if I search for the album name. However, the album is in the library, if I search for one of the artists on the album, I find the album. But not if I search for the album name or a specific song name. And LMS has no problems playing the album. 39124 3912639127 39125 And the scanner log shows an error: Code: Search Refresh (50, 100, 500, 1000 lines) Download [22-11-16 07:01:32.4381] main::main (274) Server Info init... Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.3.0 released
Thanks for the clarification about builds. I wasn't aware that mysqueezebox.com was still the source to find the latest installer. I thought it was deprecated. Good to know! Happy everything works again. I really appreciate all your work. For quite some time I thought 7.7 would be the last version to be distributed via MySB.
