Error connecting to yahoo messenger since 3 weeks
Hello I'm using libpurple since of the gaim days but since about three weeks ago I am unable to connect to yahoo messenger. Pidgin 2.10.9 (libpurple 2.10.9) Linux Slackware 14.1 64 bits When trying to login , I get the following message : Error al leer de login.yahoo.com: Error de entrada/salida Error reading from login.yahoo.com: In / Out error. I can connect sucesfully when using the same pair account/password using kopete or via web. Connecting to Yahoo
Hi:I am having trouble connecting to Yahoo messenger. I've recently changed to Win 7 but could connect after that. I'm getting the message, " Server closed the connection." I'm hoping there is just a new port location that will help me out. Can anyone tell me how to modify my current Yahoo IM account on Pidgin to solve this?I've been trying to find a list of settings by IM type which I though I used originally. Hi pidgin 2.7.5 not connecting to yahoo
Hi, i am using pidgin 2.7.5 is not connecting to yahoo. I have checked the setting and found that there is no option for specifying pager server, like in previous version. Tried all that I was told - uninstalling. Deleting Purple folder, recreated all accounts. Adding libyahoo.dll etc. Nothing worked. On the new version 2.5.8 now bug cannot connect to AIM, YAHOO or MSN messengers using Pidgin. Is it really working for someone, please check your version, setup and inform. Update to Pidgin 2.5.7, and make sure you update both Pidgin and Libpurple. It is likely Yahoo eventually got around to disabling all servers providing access to the old login method. In the end, upgrading Pidgin to version 2.5.7 or getting a version backported with the fixes from your package provider is the only way to fix this issue. http://pidgin.im/download/ubuntu/ provides directions for obtaining updated Pidgin packages for Ubuntu releases. Problem connecting to Yahoo
Hello, I noticed yesterday that my Yahoo contacts disappeared. I use yahoo chat through Pidgin at my office on a daily basis and have not ever had a problem with it before. Yesterday and today I am unable to get the list of yahoo contacts and my status continually says connecting. I do have access to my gmail buddy list and have no problem chatting through this account. I have changed no settings to cause anything to change prior to having this problem. Please help!
