Plays fine here if I disable AdBlock Plus on nbc-2.com. But with ABP
fully enabled, it just sits there no matter what I click.

Looks like that was it - disabled Adblock Plus and it's working. Thanks.

Flash is blocked by Mozilla as even 296 has a zero day vulnerability. I
don't know how you are getting them to play. For me, Sea Monkey reports
Flash 296 blocked. Fx can't even check plugins currently as Mozilla
apparently messed up the block. At least SeaMonkey can do a plugin
check currently. Even if Flash works for you it should be disabled
until Adobe issues a new update. The zero day exploit is being ACTIVELY
seen on Fx, SeaMonkey and IE. Disable Flash on all browsers until Adobe
issues a patch this week.

ANOTHER one!?

I'm making no special effort to get them to play. My SeaMonkey has not
tried to block Flash, and I haven't overruled it. I do have 296, and
when I updated just now, that's what Adobe installed.

So the question is, what have YOU done that your SM is blocking Flash?

For several days now, plugin check has not worked at all on Fx various
versions (or Pale Moon) and two different Oses. Plugin check does work
on Sea Monkey and Flash 296 is bright red and indicates dangerous.
Maybe it is not yet FORMALLY blocked as I know it is not yet on the
Block List but when I see a plugin that is notorious for vulnerabilities
showing bright red warning at Mozilla plugin page, while my other
plugins are green with nice checkmarks by them, I'm not going to even
try to use Flash. Red means STOP. The warning is NOT yellow. Yellow
would indicate use at your own risk. Red means DANGEROUS Do NOT use
and I interpreted it to mean it was blocked. It should be blocked if
the warning is red. I have all pugins set to ASK and I have no
intention of saying yes to Flash at any website until Adobe updates it.
(I have disabled Flash in IE 10 and 11).

Has the way these commands are implemented changed in v.2.32 compared to

Is there some buried option that I have inadvertently failed to turn off

Anyway, any suggestions, advice, or whatever will be greatfully received.

I am not seeing that at all. If I empty trash, only trash is removed,
nothing else. Compacting just takes the deleted messages out of the

To look at passwords, I use

It work just fine http://www.littleworksstudio.com/temp/usenet/tooltip

However, the TITLE attribute on HTML elements behavior may vary from
useragent to useragent.

http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/global.html#adef-title
Values of the title attribute may be rendered by user agents in a
variety of ways. For instance, visual browsers frequently display the
title as a tool tip (a short message that appears when the pointing
device pauses over an object). Audio user agents may speak the title
information in a similar context. For example, setting the attribute on
a link allows user agents (visual and non-visual) to tell users about
the nature of the linked resource

Whether or not tooltip is display, for how long, and how much text that
they can contain you really cannot depend on being consistent. So it is
a bad idea to rely on it for *important* content.

Next your pins are very close together and even overlap so it can be a
factor the quirkiness. Plus MSIE event model is different from other
browsers which could also be a factor.

Maybe better to use a CSS or JavaScript tooltip which would give you
more control over the tip. http://csstooltip.com/

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.scarlet.be%2F~rs268454%2FCARTE-GOOGLE%2FMAP-RANDOS.HTMcharset=%28detect+automatically%29doctype=Inlinegroup=0

I do not have IE.

And do you think that those errors causes the trouble ?... i don't
think so.

I think you should try and fix them.

Typical values for type are type=text/css for style and type=text/javascript for
script.

From my limited knowledge, that tells the browser what it should be
interpreting.

I have changed my source with your ideas and now this page pass the
 W3C HTML validator
 http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhome.scarlet.be%2F~rs268454%2FCARTE-GOOGLE%2FMAP-RANDOS.HTMcharset=%28detect+automatically%29doctype=Inlinegroup=0

BUT THE problem is still present. so it should be a SM bug ? no ?

Since WaltS48 sees the same problem in Firefox, it is likely either a
Core or Toolkit bug, not a SeaMonkey bug. If you submit a bug report,
please reply in this thread with the bug number.

Despite the HTML markup attribute title, the display is called a
tooltip. In a display window, title is what appears in the window's
title bar. It also appears when you select [View Page Info General]
on the SeaMonkey menu bar; it appears bold just above the Address.

What I see is that, once you get a tooltip on the map for La boule
(either color), you cannot get further tooltips until you move your
cursor off the map and then back onto the map. On the other hand, if
you get a tooltip for L'étoile (either color) you can get one more
tooltip for any of the indicators but not more, unless (again) you move
your cursor off the map and then back onto it.

I am sticking with SeaMonkey 2.26.1 until saved passwords can
be used when autocomplete=off. See

Perhaps consider adblock edge, which I started using a while back, its a
fork.

https://bitbucket.org/adstomper/adblockedge

been using it fine here with the latest seamonkey for the past week.

There is a big problem with SM 2.32. It breaks Adblock Plus.
Adblock Plus no longer blocks ads with that version of SM. Also, it

This is a deal-breaker for me. I do not want ads when I am browsing.
I even tried making a new profile to see if that would help. It did
not help.

Does it help to update ABP to the latest version 2.6.7?

No, in fact, I was unable to update Adblock Plus at all. I had to
revert to SM 2.31 in order to do that.

You can use Adblock Edge :

http://www.nbc-2.com/video

Maybe
it is not yet FORMALLY blocked as I know it is not yet on the Block List
but when I see a plugin that is notorious for vulnerabilities showing
bright red warning at Mozilla plugin page, while my other plugins are
green with nice checkmarks by them, I'm not going to even try to use
Flash. Red means STOP. The warning is NOT yellow. Yellow would
indicate use at your own risk. Red means DANGEROUS Do NOT use and I
interpreted it to mean it was blocked. It should be blocked if the
warning is red. I have all pugins set to ASK and I have no intention of
saying yes to Flash at any website until Adobe updates it. (I have
disabled Flash in IE 10 and 11).

That's all well and good, and probably good advice. But it's not what
you said:

Flash is blocked by Mozilla as even 296 has a zero day
vulnerability.

As far as I can tell, /Mozilla/ is not blocking Flash, /you/ are. So
none of your readers should have any expectation that /Mozilla/ will
protect them in this situation. Mozilla will only warn the user and
leave it to the user's discretion and ingenuity to block Flash.

Of course, that could change. But at the moment, Mozilla is taking no
blocking action as it does with earlier versions of Flash.

https://blocklist.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/blocked/p828

The red tile you see at the plugins check page just means the plugin is
outdated. Which is a weird thing for Mozilla to say since 16.0.0.296 is
the very latest version from Adobe.

Re: E-Mail Deletion Confusion

Maybe it is because I am well along in years, but I seem to be having
multiple problems with the 'empty trash' and 'compact folders' commands.
I.e., things are being deleted that I don't want to delete and that
are then very difficult to recover.

Has the way these commands are implemented changed in v.2.32 compared to
v.2.30?

Is there some buried option that I have inadvertently failed to turn off
when I reinstalled SM? (I had wanted to stay with v.2.30 but failed to
reset the option that automatically downloads upgrades and have ended up
with v.2.32).

Anyway, any suggestions, advice, or whatever will be greatfully received.

Henrik, your inbox file (the one without the .msf filename extension)
contains all the e-mails that you have received since you last
File-Compact Files, even the e-mails that you have Deleted (O.K.,
maybe not the e-mails that you have purposely moved to another file
location).

So, if you look at the inbox file in a text reader such as
Notepad/Wordpad, you can see all these e-mails, even those you thought
you had deleted.them.

Part of the header information is altered to indicate the message status
(Unread, Read, Deleted, etc.). When you delete a message, it is still in
your inbox file, just not displayed, and it is only when you
File-Compact Files that these messages (that have been marked as
Deleted) are actually deleted and the drive space taken up by the
message is returned to your system.

I don't think the implementation has changed since Netscape Suite days.
