After I restored it, I launched SM manually and it ran fine. Both are Win7 Pro SP1, but the 32-bit version on the older machine was the placid one and the 64-bit version on the newer machine was the grouch. I wondered what had happened! SeaMonkey disappeared after the upgrade to 2.33. After reading this thread I checked Norton Sonar and, sure enough, seamonkey.exe had been removed to quarantine. After I restored it everything is back to normal. That's why I like these groups.
