If you remember the last version where it worked properly (if it did) - please update the bugracking entry. We have made major updates of the HTML editor and might have broken something. We are eager to fix it. Now we entered the real beta test -- see Mantis issue 1338 formatting text in HTML editor
Hello Ritlabs and beta testers, after Alpha 60, we now entered the real beta test. There is an issue with text formatting in the HTML editor which was created by one of the Alphas, and which is still not resolved. Unfortunately I can't remember with which Alpha it appeared, but I remember that someone had reported it. Since it is still in existence with the current real Beta versions, I have entered issue #1338 in the Mantis bug tracker. Here is the text which I entered: > When in the HTML editor, I use the button to mark a piece of text > as BOLD, the button remains in a "pressed" stated, by its > appearance, and apparantly also by its function. > > In order to mark another piece of text as bold, after selecting > this piece, pressing the "bold" button only returns it to its > original state, and only at the next pressing of the BOLD button, > does it actually format the selected text as bold. > > Another problem seems to be related with this one -- when I format > a piece of text with another font and/or another font size, I can't > apply this same formatting to another piece of text; I have to first > change the font and/or font-size drop down menu to the default or > some other value, and use that to format the selected text, before I > can format the selected text in the wanted way by re-selecting the > font and font-size of the previous change and apply it. > > There would have to be a "apply" button next to the font and > font-size drop-down menues to apply the formatting just being shown. Or, right click on the bat icon in the start menu, select "More" and then "Pin to taskbar" Hello Stuart, normally you'd go to the THE BAT! folder, right-click the exe to produce a shortcut, cut that out, paste it to the desktop and then drag it into the task bar. But the workaround you describe is the most comfortable and moreover the most elegant way to store the icon (the shortcut) in the taskbar. Because at least in Windows 10 that works like a charm also for other shortcuts that you before never got to fix in the taskbar by dragging it there! The old Quick Launch problem...
I have a recurring issue (and I can be quite a menace about that :-D): I have The Bat! in my quicklaunch bar (Windows 10, so I basically pinned it to the "taskbar"). There is no problem with .RAR updates, but the The Bat! installers destroy the icon every time. Running a The Bat! installer requires me to remove the quicklaunch icon and add it again, as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/2461919/program-icons-that-are-pinned-to-the-taskbar-may-be-missing-or-be-disp Atom had a similar issue a while back but they fixed it: https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/8858 I understand that this has something to do with application internals, probably something related to how Windows "registers" a new application, but is there a way to leave existing pinned icons intact when updating The Bat!?
