[SlimDevices: Touch] Malfunctions after a drop down
Hi all Since I dropped unintentionally my SBT on the floor, some serious functions do not work at all: Connecting LAN or WLAN to the SBT for internet access, it freezes and than shooting down for a re-start and repeats the play till removing the connections. By trying to push the factory setting- or the on/off button: its stops and shoots again down as before. Else, I can run through the display or even see all files on my PC via WINscp- fore once with LAN connection. So, could it be software- or a hardware failure and if software how can I reset? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Server/Touch: "Your player was not found."
Thanks, toby10! I tried what you suggested, but was not successful. I did a couple other things, too: installed the server software on a 3rd machine with the same result. Then created a new user account to see if that was different. Alas, it did not change a thing. I am beginning to think it could be the router (or some restrictive settings on it). Or possibly a hardware issue on the SB? But then again, a couple times I have seen my PC library on the the Touch, but when I try to connect it says it cannot establish a link. When that happens I cannot connect back to mysqueezebox.com and have to do that dreaded factory reset. Internet radio works great, but the server software certainly was not created for the uninitiated... -- New2SBT New2SBT's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83494 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] DIY DAC for Touch
I would not recommend getting this DAC. The probability that it will sound better than a Touch on its own is pretty low. There is nothing in this design that is particularly better than what is in the Touch. If you really want to try something DIY build the power supply I've posted here. Its easy to build and can yield significant improvements in some systems. Also try Soundcheck's tweaks, I've heard significant improvements with thses. (its just software, you can always go back if you don't like it) If you are really adventuresome you can take the Touch apart and bypass the output caps. A combination of these will give you quite a bit better sound than you can get from that DAC. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Is it possible to synchronize playback between two Touch boxes?
If you have multiple touches you can control any or all of them from each unit ... Very cool. Synchronization works very well, but only if your local network is robust. Just remember to give each of your touches a distinct name and you'll soon find it's very intuitive. I have 3 players. I can have all playing the same thing (synched perfectly) or I can have two synched and the 3rd in the bedroom playing something else. And I can control all 3 from the iPeng app on my iphone or from the controller, or from any of the individual players. -- garym garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83513 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

[SlimDevices: Touch] Is it possible to synchronize playback between two Touch boxes?
Hello everybody. First post. I searched for several possibilities using "whole house", "multiple", etc, but no luck. What I'm trying to figure out is whether either natively or perhaps there is an app for synchronized play between two (or more) Squeezebox Touch boxes. Basically this would be like a multi-room "party mode." Is this possible? Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Problem with 7.6 beta
Sounds like you may have an empty library. Can you see tracks if you navigate My Music in the web interface? Are you running SbS 7.6 on Windows? If so, see the following post for some initial setup suggestions: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?p=590423#post590423 -- JJZolx JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83510 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
[SlimDevices: Touch] Problem with 7.6 beta
I downloaded the latest beta 7.6 version of SBS onto my PC the other day, which triggered an automatic download of 7.6 to my touch. Everything is working fine, except on my Touch I can't view a list of individual tracks within a given album. Specifically, when I use the remote to navigate to "My Music" and then "Albums" I see the full listing of my albums, but I can't drill down to see the individual tracks. When a particular album is highlighted on the Touch's display, I hit the right arrow key on the remote, and all I see is a spinning circle icon to the right of the album name that just keeps on spinning indefinitely. This worked fine on 7.5 version of released firmware. Navigating through "Artists" and then trying to view individual tracks also does not work. Has anyone else encountered this issue and is there any known workaround? -- mchu168 mchu168's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41745 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83510 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch Out of Stock at Logitech
I ordered mine through the Canadian Logitech site, where it was just recently added. It said "In Stock" when I ordered it, but after not shipping for a week I called them... apparently it's out of stock and they are expecting a shipment in the first week of December. I know better than to rely on estimates like this, but I'll give them a chance... it's only been a week :) -- mbg mbg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3200 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83473 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Newbie with Questions for the Experts
Good luck holding on until Christmas. In the meantime you may want to install 'SqueezePlay' (http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.6) (bottom of page) on your PC so you can get used to the Touch interface. Sign up for a 'MySqueezebox' (http://www.mysqueezebox.com/index/Home) account and you can use SqueezePlay to listen to internet radio and other music services. -- Apesbrain Apesbrain's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=738 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83244 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Squeezebox Server/Touch: "Your player was not found."
Best I can suggest is a complete network reboot. Network reset: - unplug router (leave unplugged) - turn off computer (leave off) - unplug all SB players (leave unplugged) - turn off any/all devices on the network (leave off) Now bring your network back up and in this order: - plug router back in, wait for it to COMPLETELY reboot - turn computer on, wait for it to COMPLETELY reboot - Launch SC/SBS, wait till it COMPLETELY loads and is running - plug SB players back in - best to not power on other networked devices just yet before SB players are functioning Beyond that are you certain you are connecting to YOUR network? You have only one router and only that router is handing out IP's (DHCP)? -- toby10 toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83494 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
