Re: [ubuntu-art] Incoming Feisty art
Hi, Also, i confirm that the desktop wallpaper has a dark zone at top left corner which is very strange looking. The new GDM does not have this and it's fine ! Do you plan to adjust the desktop wallpaper. I'm so awaiting the new session splash :D Do you plan Gimp, OpenOffice, TSClient, Gaim and other artwork ? Thanks, Étienne -- ubuntu-art mailing list ubuntu-art@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-art
Re: [ubuntu-art] Incoming Feisty art
Hey guys !!! The new GDM theme is so nice ! You rock guy ! :D Wahoo !! I've never been so crazy about Ubuntu artwork ! Just at tips : the desktop wallpaper has a very nice sharpness in middle of all the smoothness. Whereas GDM theme background is completely smooth. You may add some kind of similar sharpness. Not the same. Do you plan to add a face browser enable version ? I can do that for you if you want. Keep up the good work. Feisty will be so Dapper ! I think that we should include pics for a few other resolutions/aspect ratios though (we'll probably never get them all, but it would be a good start). Re: [ubuntu-art] Incoming Feisty art
The new splash progress bar is nice, much better with the reflective black background than the grey one! One problem though, sometimes you notice it flickers when it is updating. I guess it's not an artwork problem but more a usplash problem, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway. Good job! Hi, I found a bug in usplash-theme-ubuntu 0.9 : the red circle is in a different tone than the red curve. You may forgot to redish the circle :) Also, i'm worrying about logo consistency. There is almost 5 variant of the logo : * The gfxboot one * The usplash one * The gdm one * The session splash one * The main menu one We must definetly make all this logo consistent. What can you do ? Also, i really like the new wallpaper. It is so smooth, nice different. I event suggest to to touch the session splash to include new logo from usplash and smoothness of wallpaper. The same goes for gdm screen. I can help for gdm theme. Re: [ubuntu-art] Incoming Feisty art
Hi all, Some of you might know me from the work I've done in the past on Kubuntu. This time around I'll be working on Ubuntu as well. Because of the time factor (I've only been at this a couple of weeks now) I hope to create a more coherent look that is based off the Edgy artwork. One important factor is that the artwork be done within a strict time schedule. If you look at the feisty release schedule you'll see that I've added dates for artwork inclusion. This first round is the initial inclusion, so the artwork I've done shows the first stage of the process. The artwork will change but not drastically...we'll keep working in this direction, making things better and better. So, nothing is final until the last inclusion dates (and I guess that even then certain small parts can/will still be worked on, depending on the will of those higher up).
