Anyone still using prevu?
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA256 Hi all, I seem to be the only person to have done an upload of prevu in the past few years. That has only been to make it aware of new release names. I've never really used it myself. It was never updated in oneiric to know about precise and no one seems to have cared enough to file a bug about it. I was contemplating making it use python-distro-info so new release names don't have to be manually added, but it might just be better to remove it from precise. No one is subscribed to its bug reports in Ubuntu. Is anyone still making use of prevu? Is there any use case that backportpackage from ubuntu-dev-tools doesn't cover? [Bug 235875] Re: Please backport avant-window-navigator (0.2.6-6) from Intrepid to Hardy
Thanks for testing Jérôme. The bug that I encountered was a corner case, but awn-manager really should be a Dep. I'm going to try and get a new package uploaded to Intrepid. [Bug 235875] Re: Please backport avant-window-navigator (0.2.6-6) from Intrepid to Hardy
Jérôme, Had you previously installed AWN from source? Julien, 1) I think I tracked down the cache issue in Bug #236604 2) Any reason why awn-manager isn't a Depends in Debian? Keeping the Ubuntu package and the Debian package as close as possible is always a good thing. Then we only need to fix in one place and sync to Ubuntu. Not having to find sponsors in both distros would make fixes quicker. 3) I think the best approach to getting this backported is to fix it in Intrepid (or in Debian, then sync from Sid) then backport the new package. Maybe some one on the Ubuntu Backports Testing Team could weigh in on the ease or difficulty of making a Hardy specific change in the backport? -- Please backport avant-window-navigator (0.2.6-6) from Intrepid to Hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/235875 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Backports Testing Team, which is subscribed to Hardy Backports. -- ubuntu-backports mailing list ubuntu-backports@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-backports

[Bug 235875] Re: Please backport avant-window-navigator (0.2.6-6) from Intrepid to Hardy
Your right, I hadn't caught that. It seems as if '/usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/awn-manager.svg' isn't installed for some reason. Which make awn-manager error out before opening.
