[Bug 200700] Re: openoffice en-za missing "Export to PDF" dialog text
Morgan, The issue probably revolves around missing strings. I solve the problem by setting the User Interface to English UK under Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages. The quick and nasty fix for this is to copy the en_UK language packs as the differences are insignificant. I have seen a number of projects use this approach for doing en_ZA. An alternate, and probably better long term approach, is to ask Dwayne Bailey of Translate (www.translate.org.za) to take ownership of en_ZA. I wonder how man other packages may be effected by the lack on en_ZA langauge packs. [Bug 149661] Re: [Gutsy] Update fails to install "linux-restricted-modules-generic"
I have experienced this problem as well with the latest updates. The "nvidia" drivers fail. The restricted drivers manager will not start stating "You need to install the package linux-restricted-modules-2.6.22-13-generic for this program to work." Attempting to mark an upgrade from linux-restricted-modules-generic 2.6.22.12.17 to 2.6.22.13.18 in Synaptic fails with an error message "linux-restricted-modules-generic: Depends: linux-restricted- modules-2.6.22-13-generic but it is not installable" I have reverted to the "nv" driver for the present, awaiting another update. -- [Gutsy] Update fails to install "linux-restricted-modules-generic" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/149661 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 95484] Re: PDF Export Dialog shows no labels next to options - rendering issue
A positive update. I have possibly found the cause of this problem, for me at least. My default system locale is English, South Africa. In OpenOffice.org, under Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages: If the setting for User Interface is set to Default or English (South Africa) , I have problems with the dialogues not being complete. If I change the User Interface setting to English (UK) the dialogues are all correct. This tends to indicate that the translations or language packs for the OpenOffice.org interface/dialogues are missing or not complete (most likely) for the South African and other locales. Hopefully this will point us in the right direction. ** Attachment added: "Picture of language settings dialogue." http://launchpadlibrarian.net/9690177/ooo1.png -- PDF Export Dialog shows no labels next to options - rendering issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95484 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
