Look like mini.iso/netboot will use plymouth in text mode where the server.iso does not. [Bug 1672335] [NEW] Black screen on quartered apps with a 5th overlapping
Public bug reported: STEPS: 1. open the following 5 apps in the deb version of unity8: mines thunderbird firefox ubuntu-terminal-app system-settings 2. Open a youtube video in firefox 3. Sign into an email account on thunderbird 4. Start a game of mines 5. tail -f ~/.cache/upstart/unity8.log in terminal 6. Drop these four apps 1 in each corner so you see all four 7. Drop system-settings in the middle over lapping the other four EXPECTED: All 5 apps to run without issue ACTUAL: One of the apps will randomly trigger a blank window and title bar to overlay the entire screen. If mines triggers it just displays the title bar no idea why it is different. This was tested as part of 2.22.2 testing. I installed the snaps that jamie recommended and ensured there were no issues seen. Michael My initial thought was to just make the initial screen as informative as the second. Then drop straight to the network setup. IE Take the text from the second screen (The informative page), change the text on the first screen to that text and then actually start the config process from the network page. I guess the only concern then is what to do about the cancel button on the network page at that point right. Next page reads "Ubuntu Core Configure the network and setup the administrator account on this all snap ubuntu core system" which is basically and info page where you hit enter to continue. EXPECTED: I expect to not have to hit enter twice to get to the initial setup page, one of the 2 first pages is unnecessary. ACTUAL: You basically get 2 lets start configuring pages hit enter to continue. Public bug reported: STORY: You open the music player play some music, you move the player to the side stage and open the webbrowser to do some work, you find browsing albums easier in main stage so you drag the music app back out to find an album. STEPS: prerequisite frieza with some music on it 1. Open the music player 2. Set some music playing 3. three finger drag the music app to the side stage 4. Open the browser 5. Note the browser adjusts it's size to match the sidestage 6. Drag the Music app back out of side stage 7. at this point the player control are now under the sidestage EXPECTED: I either expect the windows to remain resized to fit the available screen or for the side stage to close upon emptying. ACTUAL: The empty sidestage covers the right hand side of the application under it meaning you have to close the stage in order to interact with that portion of the screen.
