[Bug 1515513] [NEW] /boot/initrd.img-*.old-dkms files left behind
Public bug reported: One notices *.old-dkms files being left behind still sitting on the disk after purging the related kernel. This can cause /boot to become full, and when it gets really bad, even sudo apt-get autoremove won't fix the problem - only deleting the old-dkms files manually solves the problem. [Bug 1125314] Re: Plugin update does not actually upgrade plugins: Eclipse Scala IDE
I think this bug manifests in two forms: in the first form, shown in the eclipse bug I just linked, installed plugins don't get installed properly. I've applied the workaround for that first form, and so I think I saw the bug in its second form: upgraded plugins don't get upgraded properly. I believe this is the same real bug because in both cases, the installed plugin versions don't get seen by eclipse, and in both cases, the workaround is to correct one of its bundles.info files which lists installed plugins. Eclipse has had many issues related to shared Eclipse installs and plugins and updating, and some other issues are still open, so I suspect this is a general Eclipse issue. ** Bug watch added: Eclipse bugs #383846 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=383846 ** Also affects: eclipse-eclipsers via https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=383846 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1125314 Title: Plugin update does not actually upgrade plugins: Eclipse Scala IDE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/eclipse-eclipsers/+bug/1125314/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Jenkins triggered a rebuild even though the repository had not changed: Build #22 (11-Jun-2012 10:42:22) add description No changes. [Bug 1003327] [NEW] Error when trying to open Javadoc in browser
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Start eclipse and create a new workspace 2. Create a new Java project. 3. Add log4j as a dependency (I used the m2e plugin to do this, and this bug may be actually in or related to m2e, I'm not sure) 4. Create a new Java class 5. Mention org.apache.log4j.Logger in the code, and put the caret there. 6. Open the Javadoc view in Eclipse 7. Click the button in the Javadoc view that opens the Javadoc in a browser (it uses the internal Eclipse browser by default, but other browsers don't work either). Public bug reported: I have installed a corporate root CA using the instructions here: http://askubuntu.com/a/94861/5729 While this has allowed wget and curl to verify the certificate of an internal website, hg still says "abort [...] certificate verify failed". Public bug reported: I have two Firefox windows, each with a bunch of tabs, one on each of my two displays. When I quit Firefox, these windows are obviously on different displays. I'd expect the windows to be restored on the display they were originally on (if the external display is plugged in and enabled, which it usually is). Jeremy: In a terminal, type tar cfz ~/upgrade-log.tar.gz /var/log/dist-upgrade/ Then click on "Add attachment or patch" below, and select the file upgrade-log.tar.gz in your home directory. I can attach mine if Jeremy is unable to. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/873576 Title: Attempt to upgrade from 11.04 and got message 'ubuntu-minimal' not found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-manager/+bug/873576/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 670012] [NEW] Video is always on top of other windows
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mplayer With the -vo gl driver, and any video file, playing the file in mplayer makes the video stay above other windows, even when you switch to another window. The window decorations don't stay above other windows when I switch to another window, but the video itself does - regardless of whether it's paused or not. I am running Kubuntu inside VirtualBox, with VirtualBox Guest Additions installed, so it's using VirtualBox's X driver and OpenGL "pass through" support. However, I'm not sure this bug is VirtualBox's fault, since glxgears doesn't exhibit this bug. [Bug 666977] Re: Firefox plugin finder says it has installed plugin if user cancels plugin installation
OK, it's probably slightly more complicated than it needs to be to reproduce the bug, but here goes: I first installed the Firefox add-on FlashVideoReplacer ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/161869/ ) and restarted Firefox to activate that add-on. (The purpose of this add-on is to dynamically replace the Flash video player on sites like Youtube with a native video player plugin, which for me, lets me watch Youtube videos in a fully-functioning free software environment.) Note: FlashVideoReplacer doesn't actually remove the flash content from the page instantly, so Firefox still believes that a Flash plugin is needed for that page (whether or not that is true, I don't know). If you went to Youtube without the FlashVideoReplacer plugin installed, I don't believe you would be asked to install *two* plugins, only a flash plugin. Then I went to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWTFG3J1CP8&u=XIN2tPVAwa4&list=FL&feature=BF to watch a video and Firefox prompted me at the top of the window to install plugins. I did this, and selected gnash for the flash plugin and gecko media player for the video player plugin. Then apt-url (or something of a similar name) was launched to install the plugins. However, it gets launched two times - once for each plugin. For the first plugin, I clicked Yes to confirm installation, that installed fine and then for the second plugin, I clicked No by accident. I then saw a dialog saying that *both* plugins had been installed successfully. -- Firefox plugin finder says it has installed plugin if user cancels plugin installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/666977 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 666977] [NEW] Firefox plugin finder says it has installed plugin if user cancels plugin installation
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox I was asked whether I wanted to install two plugins (a flash plugin and a video file playing plugin). I chose plugins for each of those tasks, and the first one installed successfully. When it came to installing the second one, I accidentally clicked the No button instead of the Yes button in apt-url. However, Firefox's plugin finder still displayed the result as "installed", even though it hadn't been installed, as Firefox's plugin finder correctly recognised when I reloaded the page and went through the process again.
