Re: [Bug 781302] Re: update-manager can't initialize package information
I deleted this file: /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical .com_ubuntu_dists_natty_partner_i18n_Translation-en because it had gotten corrupt on my machine. Then I ran apt-get update again and things went fine. But I don't know if that file was important or what it contained...so delete with caution. As I mentioned above, disconnecting from the docking station was problematic with 16.04 and once I upgraded to 16.10 the docking and subsequent suspend worked. A new kernel update came through today: Linux garuda 4.8.0-28-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Fri Nov 11 14:03:52 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and now removing from docking fails. If I boot the computer, login, and then dock everything works. When I remove the computer from the docking station the laptop screen stays black and there is no way to interact with the computer so I have to hard shutdown. I'm also facing issues with this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1642356 (maybe related). This also has shifted from working, to non-working, to working from the kernel changes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1634325 Title: Lenovo X250 failes to suspend after being docked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1634325/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1642356] Re: Ubuntu 16.10 no longer connects to Panasonic projector through vga
I also can confirm that the latest kernel update (4.8.0-28-generic) has fixed the problem to connecting to the project through VGA. [Bug 1736583] [NEW] Evince annotations lost on save
Public bug reported: I used Evince to annotate a ~70 page PDF. Over a few hours I added a handful of annotations to each page. After every 5th page or so I would "Save a Copy" in a new file name (same filename on every save). When I finished editing the document I saved and noticed that the modified time was not updating on the file. When opening the copy, no annotations were present. I tried saving as different file names and the same thing occurred. Then, stupidly, I opened the original file and it closed the file I had open with the hundreds of annotations and now no files have the annotations. My computer is currently at this state. I would really like to be able to recover the annotations if they happen to be in a cache file somewhere. Secondly, this seems to be a bug. ** Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1736583 Title: Evince annotations lost on save To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1736583/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1746382] [NEW] After disabling the touchscreen, touching the screen logs the user out of the session.

[Bug 1814400] [NEW] Thinkpad X250 blanks and locks up when removed from the docking station
Public bug reported: My X250 has worked with the docking station for just over three years but the latest kernel update (4.15.0-45-generic) seems to have broken the ability to undock. To reproduce: 1. Turn the laptop on and log in. 2. Dock the laptop. 3. Undock the laptop. This leaves the computer in an unresponsive state (screen is black, keyboard input of any kind doesn't do anything) and I have to force a shutdown. If the laptop screen dims while docked, the computer also has be force restarted. If you dock the laptop before booting the computer, it doesn't boot and is in the same locked state. moorepants@garuda:~$ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release:18.04 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: linux-image-4.15.0-45-generic 4.15.0-45.48 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-45.48-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-45-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.5 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USERPID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC1: moorepants 2514 F pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: moorepants 2514 F pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: Unity:Unity7:ubuntu Date: Sat Feb 2 12:24:29 2019 EcryptfsInUse: Yes HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=0001-992b-4a3e-a93f-f6ace66eec1d InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-11-14 (1176 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 15.10 "Wily Werewolf" - Release amd64 (20151021) MachineType: LENOVO 20CMCTO1WW ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm-256color PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR= LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.15.0-45-generic root=UUID=180cbbee-84f0-4f5d-8f67-ab39fe37099a ro quiet splash vt.handoff=1 RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-4.15.0-45-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-4.15.0-45-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.173.3 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 06/19/2015 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: N10ET36W (1.15 ) dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Available dmi.board.name: 20CMCTO1WW dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: SDK0J40709 WIN dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: None dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvrN10ET36W(1.15):bd06/19/2015:svnLENOVO:pn20CMCTO1WW:pvrThinkPadX250:rvnLENOVO:rn20CMCTO1WW:rvrSDK0J40709WIN:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNone: dmi.product.family: ThinkPad X250 dmi.product.name: 20CMCTO1WW dmi.product.version: ThinkPad X250 dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1814400 Title: Thinkpad X250 blanks and locks up when removed from the docking station To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1814400/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
