Nested tables and Map
Hi, I would like to add a 'nested table' in my Struts application. <><><> <> <> 1980Pop TitiA TotoB I should make hyper link on the 'Title' column. And when the user select a 'song' I should retrun in the hyper link the name of the song and the 'year'. I know that display tag has limitations, does somebody know if it is possible ? I have a first Map 'Years' each object of this Map has a Map . I know that display tag allows to do 'nested tables' but I don't find a complete example with struts-config.xml, action.java and JSP page. I think that this tag use only ArrayList or Vector, isn't it ? Is there an other tag that allows to do this with Map object ? RE: Html:link/html:select and submit
Do you confirm that the submit erase all parameters ? I will replace the html:link by a button, but I have the problem for the html:select onchange. I should use a submit to display my form again. Is there another way ? I tried to use a JavaScript but the submit erase parameters. At the end of the queryString (parameter of the HttpServletRequest) I don't have the string "typeUpdate=change". var enableSubmit=false; function updateForm(form) { if(enableSubmit) { form.action ='/my.do?typeUpdate=change'; form.submit(); } } If I remove the submit in the JavaScript the action is not called. Has someone already use a submit for combo change ? I don't know very well JavaScript there is perhaps a syntax error. I read some example with return value (true) in the JavaScript. RE: Html:link and save form
Hi, Thanks for you response. I was probably not very clear, so I prefer to explain the configuration again. My form is associated to a LookupDispatchAction we have a lot of data in our form that we want to save before displaying the next page. That is why we add submit on the onchange The execute function of setupLookupDispatchAction seems to be called twice. In debug mode (step by step) several thread seem to work simultaneously: it jumps from a line to another without logic. Replacing the hyperlink by an image or a button works but we need to solve the problem for combobox (html:select). On the Onchange method we should update fields on the form.
