You can also try buying a clamp... I have one but don't use it very often. It screws into the bottom of the camera and then can be secured iside your car. It's probably the safest way to do it. ac www.myurbanreport.com --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, Miranda Leitsinger <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi there, > > I am not sure about a dashboard, but putting it on a > tripod usually works in moving vehicles. Hi there, I am not sure about a dashboard, but putting it on a tripod usually works in moving vehicles. You will have to give it a test run of course. I suppose you could also do the justin thing and tape it to your body! Hey Amy, don't know if this is any use but a Gorillapod (http://www.joby.com/) is pretty useful for attaching your camera to... well, other things. Good luck, your project sounds really cool. Beth http://abovetherug.blogspot.com http://ftprintsinthesnow.blogspot.com

THere are suction-based camera mounts available, if you want to attach it to th windscreen, other window, or even external bodywork. eg: http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera_suction_pads_vacuum_mounts.htm Cheers Steve Elbows --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, "Milt Lee" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > For mounting camera's on dashboards, I guess I would suggest using a > little tiny tripod that is attached to a beadbag. For mounting camera's on dashboards, I guess I would suggest using a little tiny tripod that is attached to a beadbag. The nice thing about a bean bag is that it conforms to what it sits on, and IF you replace the beans (or whatever) with steel shot, then it will be heavy enough to actually stay where you put it, without doing permanent damage to the dash. Also it allows you to move it to the seat, or wherever. It also comes in very handy when you are doing an interview at a table that you want to have the camera stable but not so hard to setup. I suggest a tripod simply because you want to the ability to adjust the angle of shooting. So a litte bitty tripod - very short - you mostly want the head, mounted to a steelshot bag. have fun! Milt
