[weewx-user] Re: WH1080 pressure cal

2016-09-20 Thread DD CC
Well that was interesting. I did edit the weewx.conf file:

[StdCalibrate]
[[Corrections]]
pressure = pressure + 7

But this resulted in the Current Conditions of the Barometer and the
Barometer Trend both returning a value of N/A .

Any thoughts.

Cheers

Thanks for your rapid response.

I am using weewx_3.5.0-1_all.deb on an Odroid C2.

I will try the manual cal in [StdCalibrate] .

[weewx-user] Can't edit config file

2016-09-20 Thread Bob Breck
Doing a clean install on a new Raspberry Pi (v 3.5.0). The installer
doesn't open the config tool, and I can't edit the config file manually;
I'm logged in as user Pi and it tells me I don't have permission to edit
this file. Can someone tell me how to edit this file using the graphical
interface? I've tried numerous ways to change permissions, but am not too
familiar at using the Terminal to do so.

Can I manually run to config program, permanently change the permissions
for the weewx directory for user Pi?

Thanks!

which version of weewx are you using?

the wee_config_fousb utility should be located in the bin directory,
nominally /home/weewx/bin/wee_config_fousb if you installed using setup.py

however, the wee_config_fousb utility was replaced by wee_device quite some
time ago

also, the --slp option no longer exists. instead, if you need to calibrate
the pressure sensor, enter the pressure offset in the calibration section
of weewx.conf:

[StdCalibrate]
[[Corrections]]
pressure = pressure + x

[weewx-user] WH1080 pressure cal

2016-09-20 Thread DD CC
I have tried using sudo wee_config_fousb --slp=.xx but always get
backwee_config_fousbcommand not found.

I have used a Gdebi weewx installation which works well with a fineoffset
WH1080.

Shouldwee_config_fousb be part of the install and if so where would
it reside with the Gdebi installation.

Or is there another command function that can be used for the WH1080
pressure calibration.

TIA

[weewx-user] Re: Upgraded raw plugin for MesoWx v0.4.0

2016-09-20 Thread 'Björn Baldus' via weewx-user
Hi,

we are searching for a plugin which can send the realtime data from our
davis via weewx to a webserver in a data center. we tried an older version
of mesowx - but i didnt work (weewx crashed).
How do we setup the new raw-plugin to send data to the webserver. The
Raspberry Pi is connected via 3G to the internet - the v-server is hosted
by a big sharehoster. We only want to send the realtime loop packets to the
server - and run an instance of mesowx there.
The data upload to wunderground and awekas runs fine.

Any suggestions?

Format dateTime as %U or %W depending on whether Sunday or Monday is the
first day of the week.

eg current.dateTime.format("%U")

see

Re: [weewx-user] WMR300: Wrong wind direction

2016-09-20 Thread Andrew Milner
I think you are going to have to run with debug=1 and see what data is in
the LOOP and REC records. Is the REC coming from the station, or being
generated by weewx software? As far as I can see from a quick look through
weewx code it sure seems as though Tom is handling wind\Dir correctly as
vectors - and I am sure we would all have had issues like you if it had
been a flaw within weewx itself - which kind of leaves the WMR300 driver or
the station doing some form of averaging.

You could also try record_generation = software to see if it
changes/removes the problem.

Hello Andrew,

Currently, I don´t have remote access to the server. I will test it as soon

Just one question, as current winDir will continue getting wrong values,
this fix is a partial solution to the issue, isn't it?

Thank you very much.
