Cat food goes on top of the fridge, and that solves that
problem. Now cat
litter, that's another story...
The way we solved the problem is we put a baby gate across the doorway where the food
and litter are and have it high enough off the ground that the cats can get under but

Hi All,
In my former life I use to be a von Willebrand's disease expert. If any one wants
more info on this disease, I have a bit of a summary I put together for Pat Long a
while ago. Let me know and I'll send it out. If you're thinking of doing one of the
genetic screens for VWD, let me know
Hi Liz,
Due to AOL I cannot post straight to the BernerL without my husband's help. ;-).
So I thought I would post to you and maybe you could share the information with the
list. www.norcalbernese.org has a weathervane that is very nice and about $53.00.

Hi All,
I was surprised to read about people attaching their dogs to their bikes. What happens
when the dogs bolt because they see a rabbit, squirrel or another dog? That sounds
like a very bad accident waiting to happen. Here in the City of Calgary it's actually

Hi All,
Anyone interested in breed genetics and history should do to the library and check out
the Nov 22, 2002 issue of the journal Science. Their focus this week is dog breed
genetics. If you're very science oriented, there are several articles. If you're not
science oriented, you can read
HI All,
FYI, this was posted to the TM list.
Fox news has just announced that the pet passport program in Britain that
allows cats and dogs from the continent to waive the quarantine, will be
extended to the U.S. and Canada starting Dec. 11.

Hi All,
I had a cat that ate some part of the Poinsetta every year for a number of years and
it never made him sick. I got them every year because I'd heard they were not harmful
despite old warnings going around. He did die at 11 years old from kidney failure
which I beleive was caused by him
Hi All,
I have a co-worker whose husband wants a pug and is likely to buy the first one he
comes across. I'm trying to get them in touch with some responsible pug people. Does
anyone have any experience with this breed and can you direct me to some good
resources/mentors? Thanks

Hi All,
I have to disagree with this comment:
I absolutely agree with Vilma -- dogs do not seek revenge or act out to get
back at us -- those are human activities.
My female Tibetan Mastiff is definitely the classic TM, aloof, independent and full of
herself. She was a breeze to housetrain and
