yes, on my database it crashes at mp3 ... tried to do a scan only on the directory where the files mentioned in the log-files are in - it runs without any problems ... so the crash must be at another point, not logged ... -- frank1969 ---

I fixed the PCM issue, it was streaming in little-endian instead of big. DLNA will probably never officially support FLAC because it's open-source, although they have recently added Matroska support, so who knows. It will depend if any big players get behind it I think. But this is mostly not a b

Make sure that you have lame.exe in the C:\Program Files\Squeezebox\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread folder to transcode FLAC to MP3 if you're running LMS on Win7. Or present in whichever folder is appropriate for your OS platform. Transcoding was working for me on LMS 7.7 using Lame version 3.

I tried 7.7.0 - r33419 today. I used Windows Media Player to play some .flac files from my library. I expected that LMS would transcode .flac to some format that Windows Media Player supports. It doesn't; it plays white noise. Also, after trying this, the LMS server stops. +-
