I'm certain that it's not intelligent enough to only scan newly added

Thanks. It would be good to try to find out if that's a Samsung issue or

tried to do a scan only on the directory where the files mentioned in

You might need to check the box "Save logging settings for use at next

But I see no entries in the scanner.log and in the server.log many

OK, you probably need to enable scan.scanner logging and check the log
file to find the file that's causing it.

I fixed the PCM issue, it was streaming in little-endian instead of

DLNA will probably never officially support FLAC because it's

Make sure that you have lame.exe in the C:\Program

transcode FLAC to MP3 if you're running LMS on Win7. Or present in
whichever folder is appropriate for your OS platform. Transcoding was
working for me on LMS 7.7 using Lame version 3.
Yes it should transcode to PCM, but this isn't really very tested yet
obviously.

I tried 7.7.0 - r33419 today. I used Windows Media Player to play some
.flac files from my library. I expected that LMS would transcode .flac
to some format that Windows Media Player supports. It doesn't; it plays
white noise.
Also, after trying this, the LMS server stops.

I apologize if its been asked already but will it installing LMS over

In my case I´m thinking of upgrading on a ReadyNas

I did end up filing a bug. Here's my latest comment on it:
By removing and rewriting the tags from each mp3 file that the scan
aborted on, I was able to scan my entire collection. After scanning all
the music files, the scan also aborted when extracting images from
certain files. I used the same
