Mark,
I put
the conversion brackets in my 72 Elky. The kit came with two brackets,
one for the driver's side and one for the passenger's side. The raised part
of the bracket points to the firewall and is welded down to the floor next to
the tunnel (you will want to get very good penetratio
Thank you everyone that responded! I was
worried ALL DAY about this. I feel as if a huge weight was lifted. I
was worried about frame damage..

I did this at one time also on a 67 Camaro (before I realized they were

Works just fine.

Thank you Rocky!!
I just did it, and it works perfect. Looks
much nicer in the front now. Also looks safer (at least in my

Dan,
Here is a reply from a post on Team Chevelle in 1999
from someone who did the same thing.
Starting in 1968, when side-marker lights were
introduced, the parking lights remained on when the
headlights were switched on. Prior to that model year,
the parking lights switched off when the headlig
Hi all,
On my 64 Impala, when I turn on the main
headlights, the running lights turn off. Exactly the same as when I had my
65 Malibu.
I tried on the Boo to wire in a relay that would
allow them to stay on, but it didn't work out well at all.
Has anyone done this, or seen a website

Same situ on my 65. I didn't build it originally but the power front disc brakes are
off a later olds set-up, 70 I think, and I've got the same grease fitting problem.
Take out the plugs, put in the fitting, grease, take out the fitting and plug it up
til next time.

In
Charles, The clearance is very tight on the draglink. The
grease fitting problem is because at some point someone has replaced the inner
tie rods with incorrect ones. The originals had the grease fittings on the end
of the tie rod. They are still available from Moog, but there are several
