Pretty typical group feeding behavior DuWayne. See link below for a video
of this fun behavior. Well fun for us to watch at least

This evening just before the storm hit around 6pm, there was a group of 7
pelicans that were doing a behavior I hadn't seen before. They were
swimming in formation in a line with two -abreast and they would all put
their bills in the water at the same time, first on one side, then on the
other. T
Today was quite similar to our previous days here, fairly slow with a
trickle of migrants. We closed a bit early as the wind picked up but almost
got in a full morning of banding. We finished with 8 newly banded birds and
3 recaptures of 10 species total.

Our numbers continue to be low. The most interesting capture today was a
female Red-winged Blackbird that we banded in 2013 and had not caught
since. How did she avoid recapture for so many years? Here's the
breakdown of the 9 birds caught for the first time this year today:

Hi all,
Me and the big day team 'The Little Fledglings' found a beautiful adult
Little Blue Heron in the Plum Creek Delta at Chatfield. Since we were
biking and weren't carrying long telephoto lenses the photos are very poor,
but still diagnostic.
Good luck,

For a birthday present I asked to get out early this morning to look for
birds and herps in northern Pueblo County.
Avian highlights:
- Two Yellow-breasted Chats, one of which was singing quite close to me
and I finally got a good, clear photo of one after 14 years of
trying.

Hi everyone, I realize the two birds I reported above were both technically

Hi everyone, this morning I saw a Black-throated Sparrow and a Summer
Tanager at Walden Ponds. The sparrow was unmistakable with a large black
throated extending onto the chest with clear white lines running down the
sides of the black throat. The rest of the underside was unmarked. It flew
