Mdk9.2rc2: The chip sound is detected during a fresh install.
After some settings in kmix, the sound works fine.

This problem was already fixed in 2.4.20-2mdk. I have not tested the
2.4.21 beta kernels to see if they have maintained their handling of
this motherboard.

I run KDE, no sound when I run Kscd, Xmms (from menu and command line with
soundwrapper) or just system sounds
I also tried Gnome, just the same non system sound, Xmms idem, Kscd idem...

These bugs were already fixed in the 2.4.20 kernel, and I assume remain
fixed in 2.4.21, but have not tested that and will not until it is
finally released.
