If you find that you must use a Diamond or Comet antenna, I would suggest that you at least solder each connection. The mechanical connections will cause you grief over time. Also, take the time to seal the antenna joints (including the top cap) as they will allow water to find a way in. Eve

[DSTAR_DIGITAL] 2 VHF/UHF RIGS MOBILE

I am considering adding an Icom 880 to the car along with the Icom 2720 that is already installed. My concern is having 2 radios on the same band blasting 50 watts into the other receiver. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill or is having 2 radios on the same band running that much power a

[DSTAR_DIGITAL] Dvap question

I picked up a dvap earlier today. Setup was easy and it was up and running in short order. I can connect tx an rx to any reflector that I have tried, however I can only connect rx only to the local repeaters (3 in my area). Am I missing something. Thanks!

Rick, You will love the 880 (I have several of them). Let me echo that you should indeed purchase the programming cable for it and download the software from Icom. I would be glad to share my icf file with you if that would help you get started or you can find examples on them of the DSTAR s
