it off, but with the front panel ON switch only. The rear panel power switch
I leave alone, so it's always on, except for total power outages. No

After looking at the back cover of QST, I don't see many, if any buttons or
controls, that are not already included on the K3 either as physical front
panel controls, or menu selections. Other than the 200W output, I'll just
keep my K3, and add the KPA500. Way too many buttons on the TS-990S.

Downloaded new F/W 1.12 for the P3. Set the Ref Lvl on three bands. All
remained as set with subsequent band changes. Works good.

To Me the use of QSA(1-5) was for signal strength only. If the other
operator had a bad fist then we used QRK(1-5). QRK was his "readability".
Then we also used INT QSA and INT QRK instead of QSA IMI(?) or QRK IMI
(ditty-dum dum-ditty, as we used to say). You could tell the good guys from

P3-K ordered/invoiced on July 16, 2010. Arrived and "in-work" at 1930PDT
