I got it.
I gave up on the Guppi.xxx.xxx-mdk.rpm, and got the one off of Ximian.
It installed without complaint. Following that, GnuCash installed, and
is running.

Recently installed mandrake version 1.5.0 of gnucash. everytime I try to use
help or online help the program instantly terminates, leaving the lock file.
Have tried this many times. I run gnucash from the kde desktop.

I am running Mandrake 7.1. I have Gnucash 1.4.1 running which I downloaded from
the Gnucash site. I have downloaded Gnucash 1.4.2 from the Cooker. When I
tried to install the rpm it complained about an unfufilled dependency of
G-Wrap. I downloaded and installed g-wrap and g-wrap develop
Has anyone gotten the new version of gnucash to install, or the source rpm to
build?
I get these errors:
[root@tolstoy spboulet]# rpm -i gnucash-1.4.1-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
libguile.so.4 is needed by gnucash-1.4.1-1

Did as you suggested - works fine. Thanks also to the person
I installed the beta version 1.3.1 from the Mandrake Cooker RPMS. It's a new
beta version, I think the stable version is 1.2. something or other.

got overwritten by a lower version, if you installed a game that shipped with a

checking for "at least" this number, which would make a lot more sense.
