I have made good progress getting the 1500 operational on CW and SSB. The
most important setting was the audio buffer size to at least 1024, and 2048
works even better.
VAC to get audio out the computer speakers does not work very well. On CW
either the keyboard function of PowerSDR or an
Mike,
Thanks for sharing you setup information.
I suspect that the ATOM N270 is a bit under powered for low latency operation
which is paramount for CW. I have an ATOM 330 desktop machine and even that
processor struggles at times just running digital modes with DSP NR.
Also routing the
Power out and swr meter do not wrok. I understand it is a blown diode or
diodes. My question is are these diodes on the rfio board? Thanks.

Hi to the group this is not quite flex but... on 6metres with my 5ka I get
about 8 db drop from general noise on nfm from my aerial, to when the
aerial input is disconnected.
Does this mean a shack preamp won't help much ? I'm already running hardline
to the aerial so I'm out of options
Art,
No, the Fwd/Rev diodes are on the PA. You will need to send it in..
Drop me a note when you are ready to send it in for the RMA for the fix..

I'd like to hear from a few users who are using their Flex Radios with Macs
running under Windows. Which bridge software are you using - Boot Camp,
Parallels, etc.? Have you encountered any difficult problems to solve along
the way. I'm considering the 5000A down the road.

Rick, I have run my 5000A on both a Mac Book Pro and a Mac Pro under
BootCamp.
No problems as long as you follow the article in the Knowledge Base.
Works fine.
And when Deep Impact software comes out, we won't need BootCamp anymore
:)

I have used Parallels, VM Ware and Boot Camp - not with my 3000 but running
HRD - I wound up buying a real PC laptop for HRD and the 3000 - but if you
don't want to do that then use Bootcamp - IMHO you wont be happy with any of
the co-resident solutions.

Hi, I need a hand here. I have a Flex3k, worked just fine with 1.8.6.. I
upgraded to 2.0.6 and all seems to work, except SSB TX. I can get a 100 watts
out in CW, but no output in SSB, it appears there is no audio driving the TX. I
have gone through the setup, and can't see anything that would
Did you import a PowerSDR 1.18.6 database into PowerSDR 2.0.6?
Also did you perform the firmware update to version 2.0.1.2 after updating?

Len,
Make sure that the Mixer at the top of the console, just like in
1.18.6 is set to mic, urned up to the top, and you may have to raise
the mic gain from the default of 10.Put your TX meter in Mic to see
the audio coming through. Oh an another thing, you might want to
