The one I ordered through Amazon is showing a delivery time of
approximately one week from tomorrow. Other distributors have them at a
similar price and each lists several of the 40A (#1692) in stock.
Maybe, with all this discussion, there will be a "run" on them. :)

I hope so (as I have one on order; should arrive in a week or so). :)

Do you have a different computer available from which to log in? How about
a different browser on the first computer? The reason I mention this is

Usually they show up in the $1400 - $1500.00 range. I just saw one on

While I never experienced that with the FW cable that came with my (former)

I second the Palstar. If you are able to find a nice AT-Auto at a decent
price, go for it. Don Kessler supports them now.

The "spike" every several seconds may be due to the Trial Version... it is
a means of reminding users of that version to buy the paid version. For the
money, VAC is a good deal.

Where's the "Like" button for that post? Dave just stated what most Flex
users know from experience; Flex is a top notch company and they support
their products better than most companies. Before my 6700, I had a loaded
5000A; it was an amazing radio that just keeps getting better.

Looking at the ad several times, I can see it either way, although my first

Seriously, there has to be a new source of that noise in or near your
house/station. I have seen trickle chargers, battery tenders, wall warts,
etc. that caused horrendous noise. I personally found a wall wart on the
old router that went bad (it was >6 years old) and

Try checking into the Flex net on Sunday on 14.329 mHz, and there may be
some help from those who can listen directly over the air.

Normally those adapters are the devil, but this one works.

Now I am wondering if I had a radio selected when I loaded PSDR Demo last

Connect the new radio and power it up per the manual, the run PowerSDR. If
a choice of Demo or Flex appears, pick The Flex radio and you are good to
go.

Yes, most definitely. I just worked a couple of stations with HRD/DM780,
PSDR, and a Flex 5000a. Works very well.

Marty,
If you can do a computer upgrade, this would be a great time to do it. Maybe
building your own or getting one of Neal's systems (if you are not into
building a PC) would be a better way to go. Before buying my Flex, I built a
