Hi, first of all, as far as i remember you have to compile a new sdl. i think you do not need to patch it any more. but you still have to replace your runtime/dll/libSDL-1.2.so.0 i did not get such problems when configuring the sdl. but i found following link which described the same problem:;

DirectFB is actually much easier than it used to be. You really just need out of the box versions of DirectFB and SDL. If your distribution provides directfb support in SDL you might not need to build anything. On Mon, Jul 28, 2003 at 09:21:25PM +0200, Jortan H wrote: > I can run MPlayer with -vo

according to the mplayer docu -vo mga isnĀ“t possible with the g450 and tvout. Try the directfb method instead it should provide the best results in quality and easy configuration. if you have experiences with compiling your own kernel the howto http://www.sci.fi/%7Esyrjala/directfb/matrox-tv-ou

I can run MPlayer with -vo mga on my monitor. But I can't manage to get the picture on the TV. I was going to try DirectFB later but wanted to start with the 'easy' way. And as you see there's already trouble... I'll try with the matrox-TV-out-HOWTO tonight. /Bjorn --- Rudi Lindl <[EMAIL PR
