Or is it something different?
A Vosal has a short leather covered nosepiece and then two metal hinged
pieces attach to the nosepiece and join under the chin. It has a similar

While I'm not a fan of the Bitless Bridle using the cross-over design
because of the vice-like grip it can have on the horse, and not being able
to ask for a tip of the head without also affecting the poll, I am a fan of

This is another good article by Dr Ridgway. While most horses tend to have
diagonal lowness (low shoulder and diagonally low hip) and that makes the
saddle slightly easier to fit, it is a bigger challenge when the horse is

They keep your butt relatively clean.
They aren't as slippery as a bare horse's back.
If you want to ride longer and you weigh more than a flea, you can add a
spinal pad to add a little protection for the horse's back. Maybe other
