I don't think you are doing anything wrong... but instead have run into a
glitch we've been seeing since Jun 8th...
The saving grace is the 'ghost text' apparently doesn't print on reports...
and for me goes away once Legacy has been restarted.
I'll try posting again to the Beta Test List.

You're probably not doing anything wrong; this is a programming glitch that
is making me rather crazy but hopefully will be fixed before long. In some
instances the old details will clear themselves after you shut down and then
re-start Legacy. Also in some cases (but not all), the detail
