As I see it the purpose of the actual place of death is to know where
their legal death records can be found. The place they actually lived or
reasons for dying there can be in notes or other places

Usually for a lot of death certificates you will find actual death place, and
if not the person’s usual residence it will state that in the same field.
Certainly seen that a lot for Canada and Scotland.

enter that in the death address. As always make notes of explanation when and
where necessary.

Place of death: I have some relatives whose residences at death were in a
suburb of a larger city. In the last few days of life they were moved to a
hospital or hospice across the city line into the larger city. For
example. a 95 year old uncle of mine lived in Mableton, GA, a suburb of
Atlanta
