so it would be nice to have more than just one platform of Director,

Don't screw with the draw rect - that's for resizing. Just change the rect
itself.

hi everyone,
is there a way to access a remote computer through
lingo. or do you need an xtra or something to make
that happen.

using
on MakeFullScreen
(the stage).rect = the desktopRectList[1]
(the stage).drawRect = the desktopRectList[1]
end
on MakeFullScreen2
The easiest thing to do would be:
1) Get the desktopRectList (this is a Lingo property)
2) If there's more than one listed, set your stage to that rect.
It would be something akin to:
on startMovie
if (count(the desktopRectList) >=2) then
the stage.rect =the desktopRectList[2]
end
look up the deskTopRectList ...

Hi John,
Yes, you do need to duplicate data if you don't want it to reflect changes
you make to the original (ie: vList assets behave just like other lingo
lists). We've also used external casts, but went with vList because of its
compression feature. I think PiMZ PropSave Xtra could do what you
help?
is it possible for me to specify a projector to launch on my secondary
monitor with lingo ( on my PrepareMovie or something.. ? Or perhaps have a
keypress that would switch it from primary to secondary and back type of
thing?
any ideas/resources on where to start would be great.
thanks, :)

In using Hypertext Styles on a text member the hypertext is blue and
underlined and the cursor changes to a finger over the hypertext. For the
project I am working on I want the cursor to change as above, but not the
blue text and underlining.
Is it possible using Lingo (or any other way in Di
Cheers to all on this:
Firstly, I've found the movieTime to be really inaccurate (but I've reduced
the need for such accuracy in my structure plan). Secondly, I've found out
that the company actually owns the Tabuleiro (sp?) DirectMedia Xtra to play
their MPEGs and you can add your own cuepoints
I think someone already mentioned using the movieTime instead of cuepoints,
but I'll echo it again. It's a lot simpler than having to use cuepoints,
because to change them, all you have to do is change a number in your code,
as opposed to (with cuepoints) leaving Director and messing around with
I don't think that cue points can't be added to a Quicktime chapter
track on Windows.
However, if your QT video has a soundtrack then perhaps you can use
QuickTime Player Pro to Export the soundtrack to a .WAV file & then
put cues in it within SoundForge & then glue the .WAV back into the

Developing on Windows 2000, and I don't think we have any Mac clients (just
started yesterday so I'll look into that) so it's build and distribute for
Windows

Thanks for your reply Tim
If I understand your point about #image memory pointers, does this mean that
you need to store duplicates of the #images rather than the actual member's
image reference (I seem to remember running into this in my testing of
vList). This would have the same effect as the

A word of warning: I haven't used cuepoints in video, but I sure have
in audio (.aif). I have also used the movieTime to sync stuff with
video. From my expercience, using movieTime is more tight than using
cuepoints.
For my sharp projects, I've mainly used quickTime movies on a Mac.

It's looking likely that a number of projects I'm

that checking for the movieTime of the video isn't
accurate enough so I'm looking at embedding cuepoints.

Ok guys,
but what about my questions?
I mean that according to M technotes, the Fieio xtra needs to be put
into the xtra list from popupmenu, but option "include into movie or
dowload if needed needs to be both unchecked. According to same fileio
technote, i need to make a folder, call it xtra
