Hi,
I took a look at the ncftpd pages, and the product looks very good. For other
list readers, I'll summarize that a personal use license that supports up to 3

Actually we're not. We're just moving stuff between folders inside drives, at
least I am. Hopefully the authentication trick worked. 'll try this in about 2
hours when I have to move something.
Take care.

Dear Listers,
Success! It is truly a time saver to have the ability to speed up
podcasts. Thanks to Esther and the support she provides this is a current
option. Hopefully it will eventually be a standard part of iTunes.
I had some trouble initially completing this task
Hi Sarah,
I think this is related to the Lion permissions problems I posted about
earlier. I found the thread at the Apple Support forums when I was trying to
track down reports of problems related to your inability to write to the
Documents folder in your account last week. I think I
Actually I do have read right permitions in the documents folder. I checked
that. but I still cannot save that file and I made some changes to it.
This will really come in handy when I start work on my single again so I sort

I'll try the file thing you sent me see if that
Nope I hate to say it but that failed. I still cannot save the document and I
still get the error. Ok so what do I do now? I don't want to create a new
document and it will be the same with my single. I really don't feel like
starting over.
Take care.

Hi Sarah,
Can you save the document either under a different name, or else change the
folder location to another one that you have created? In the save dialog
window try using Command-Shift-G or other combinations to folders you know you
can write to. For example, if you created a folder in
Hmm. maybe I'll do the long 2 command lines and then try again. I don't think
it can hurt. lol!
I'll keep everyone posted.

Ok. goign back to this thread and sorry for bouncing I'm getting these
messages. what's up. I don't like the sound of them. Here is an export.

Hi Sarah,
The first Terminal command to clear ACLs typically did give error messages. In
all cases it was OK to ignore them. It attempts to recursively remove previous
access control lists.
The second Terminal command with the:
chmod +a everyone deny delete ~/ ~/Desktop ~/Documents
This is cool, because I like vlc player. Like the sound quality of it better
for some reason. This one is a definite keeper *lol*.
