i decided to give linux 4 windows a spin, it created its partition and then,
DOH i relised that my parrelel port scsi isnt supported meaning i gotta get a
new cable for my old IDE drive, but since it created i think
basicly, your on a really big i guess wan, so you whould set it up using
network, there are externel cable modems that hook up thro a NIC, and from
what i have heard there really pretty easy to set up.
Not that this has anything to do with anything important
but i like that Aaron guy
I for one like mandrake better, i like the interaction i get and how easy it
is to get help from knoligable people, i mean iv noticed that people using
redhat 6.0 sometimes use the mandrake list G overall the mandrake just

just wanted peeps to know that there is a 56K externel modem at OfficeMax for
30 bucks that works with linux if you want to try it
i just got it a few days ago and it works fine
its a newcom
try going into /mnt/win98/ and doing a dir to make sure you have the right
capitalaziton and such
Linux is picky about that
create the dir /mnt/c/
also replace the first x with what hard drive it is ( like a or b)
and the second x with the number of the partition
for windows it is normely 1
sorry for how stupid that sounds i just got up : )
mount -t vfat /dev/hdxx /mnt/c
(BTW: someone else on this list told
i can connect fine on my modem with KPPP but when i try to go to a site with

the Linux dolt (Tom)
