of RD20 (ammonium chloride, like Physan) to my usual fertilizer Dynagro

I had the same problems that Phal species grew poorly on any base
that I used to mount Phal species on. Now since I'm using poystyrene
blocks coated with cement (see AOS ORCHIDS January 2003 Pg 12)
my species grow like wild. It is amazing to see how the roots attach
themselves, like glued

David, I agree totally with your comments. I have been growing orchids for 40 years
and have learnt a lot from peers, literature and actually growing many various genera.
It always pains me to hear NON orchid growers ( ie people from the Gardening field )

What is "Nothotaxa". I understand that "Nothotaxa are
hybrids". Can someone give a more complete definition?
I'm obviously not a botanist so I need an answer in
plain english if possible.
