I don't have experience with the Sigmas, and I also don't
have the specific Tokina you mentioned. What I have is
Tokina AT-X270 Pro (28-70/2.8), which is really good.
The best thing I found with Tokina is its build quality.
And if you use MF cameras, Tokina is even better than
Pent

Tough call. My wisdom and experience puts the Tokina as the best
choice. There are many aspects to a lens. Sigma generally seems to
get sharpness pretty good, but has problems in other areas (build
