Now Feb7... still getting 30 second clips here in Canada. Sonos and Rdio is starting to look like a real possibility. AFAIK Sonos is suffering from the same issues we are suffering. It's a Napster issue, not a Logitech issue. Any news on the status of this fix? Unfortunately not. --

I am still frustrated by a 30 seconds limit on Napster, for which I opted for an unlimited streaming plan. I have a friend which chose the Sonos solution instead of the Squeezebox and he can stream the full duration of all songs. What's up with the Logitech products? Anyone from Logitech

Napster is kind of working again because the Logitech dev team pushed their still-in-progress changes to SB's Napster interface out to www.mysqueezebox.com. It's still not working the way it should (eg, browse lists appear to be limited to 50 items), but it's better than nothing. See the bug

I just got an email from Napster with the comment that Napster is aware of issues with their service with Squeezebox and Sonos devices and that they are giving me a free month as an excuse. And no, I did not contact them myself, looks like they are sending this to all Squeezebox and Sonos users.

My SqueezeBox boom and Napster subscription are both only one day old, and I'm slightly bummed that Napster didn't work out of the box. But I suppose the squeezebox is an excuse to do some hacking... I stumbled across these forums, tried what was suggested, and managed to get things to work.

I have tried this, and although I can now see Napster in my Apps, when I try to connect to play any songs, it just throws me back to the menu screen. Maybe I will just leave it until it's been tested. What do I have to type into the telnet session to put it back to normal? (i.e. non test mode).

There's a thread on this in the Logitech forum, and another one on the mysqueezebox.com forum here. the consensus seems to be overload at Napster. A workround for squeezebox server is to increase the timeout setting. I tried 15 (and then 30 secs) which has helped a lot. Default timeout is 5
