Has anyone ever looked at converting the z88DK C compiler (or any other C cross
compiler) to work with the QL?
There is an Amiga version which may provide a starting point.
It could be useful to help convert some of the games produced by the Mojon Twins
for the ZX Spectrum / CPC for example

There is, however a DOS version of C68 on Thierry's site. Haven't ever tried it
myself, as I am perfectly content with the version running on QDOS, but it
