Hi all. I have a problem with my Squeezebox radio: the alarm goes off
one hour later than the time that I set it to. I set two alarms, one
for 6:20 am, and the other for 6:25 am (I tend to hit the 'snooze'), but
they go off at 7:20 and 7:25. I checked my timezone setting, and it is
correct (Mou

Erland, I have no graphical talent - but do have older eyes. On the
radio at the moment the time setting is too small when under album art.
Your clock designs are great - but I would love to have them applied
over the album art for whatever is playing. Is that possible? it would
be very attractive

To clarify; I do not, and will not, have a SBS. I run my current
SqueezeBox Boom entirely on MSB - I have never even installed SBS and
would have no media content for it either. I use my SB entirely for
online radio and Napster service... Therefore I have no concern with
SBS. However, I have read
Every so often my radio gets into a state where the little blue wifi
connectivity icon in the lower-right corner turns blue indicating that
the Radio cannot connect to SBS. The weather screensaver applet itself
works fine so I know overall connectivity is OK. The only way I can
reconnect to SBS,
Are there any people out there with an Radio that's thinking it would be
nice to customize it a bit ?
Want to make your first applet but don't know where to start ?
Are you good at graphical design/drawing but know nothing about
programming and like to contribute ?
I'm personally really bad at
MSB = MySqueezeBox, SBS = SqueezeBoxServer, however, running a later
version of SBS will update your firmware and therefore increase your
performance on MSB. What I was trying to get across is there are fixes
being worked on for outstanding issues.

Anybody able to give any details? I have only this weekend in order to
make my decision whether to purchase a SB Radio or not. I do not want to
buy it without good reason and am positive that if I can operate it as
successfully as my Boom it'll be a good purchase. HOWEVER, I use the
Boom solely on
Freescale iMX25 and MX35 can both support upto 256MB of DDR2 per chip
select and they have 2, ie 512MB (at 266MHz), so the RAM size is
obviously down to costs and needs. The MX25 is 16bit max. though which
obviously halves the bandwidth vs. the iMX35. The iMX35 also benefits
from 128KB of L2 cache

That's exactly what the above does. Make sure you have the App and the
Plug-in.

the radio has the rdate command so if you ssh
into the radio you can run, e.g.
rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net

Hello Felix,
with 'time is still off' I mean 'not set at all'.
I'll give it a try by connecting to mysb.com tonight (when I have
access to the Radio) and if this fails I'll do a factory reset and
retry. I'll let you know what the result is.
Best regards,
Lieven.

Hi Lieven
When you say 'time is still off' do you mean just by some hours (like a
timezone issue) or not set at all (i.e. somewhere at 01/01/1970)?
I don't think there is a message in /var/log/messages regarding getting
time from the server. At least I don't see one in my log.
Does the time get
Is it possible to scrobble tracks to my Last.FM account as they are
played on the SBR from my media library?
I thought I had selected options to do this but it doesn't seem to be
working

Out of the box I couldn't connect via WEP - no matter how many times I
entered the 128bit password..
So I connected via ethernet (ie RJ45 cable) and it immediately did a

After that it still wouldn't connect to WEP 128, but once I changed the

Hello Felix,
thank you for the clarification.
I have installed SB server version 7.4.2 (latest version from
yesterday) and firmware 7.4.2-r8401 on the Radio. The problem is not
fixed, however. Time/date are still off.
Could you give me a clue on how I can verify that the Radio tries to

Hi
I have some japanese CD ripped in Flac. On my SBRadio I can't read the

Hi there
Unfortunately we had to change the protocol about how SB Radio gets the
time and date from the server for 7.5. An SB Radio running 7.5.x cannot
get the time from a server running 7.4.x or the other way round.
You either need to make sure SB Radio and the server use compatible
versions o
Some more info on your system would help
1. Which version of squeezeboxserver exactly ( check info page in
settings web-UI if posible, maybe it crash to fast ?) copy and paste it
2. Which OS ? windows, mac, linux ? be specific all OS come in many
versions. example Windows could be XP SP2,XP SP3,
