So seek and ye shall find. I read the post below in another forum,
experimented with a wireless range expander near the SBR, and that
resolved all sync problems, in all cases.

I've replaced the Boom with the Radio, in the same exact location, and
then the problems started.
This plugin helped resolve some (but not all) of the sync issues I
experienced after adding the SB Radio to my network (a
Controller/Receiver and a Boom), which had previously been solid,
sync-wise.

I just upgraded to 7.4.2 and I'm still having this problem: the SB radio
often (but not always) won't play certain programs while my other two
SBv3s in the same synch group function fine.
I've done a little more experimenting: this happens very frequently
with the WMA stream at

At mysqueezebox.com under player/network there is a category called
Radio Station Buffer Seconds. I am not sure if it makes a difference
with syncing or not. Mine are all set at 10 seconds.
Also below that is Maximum WMA Stream Bitrate. Again...I am not a

I've had a SB radio for a couple of weeks, and it is flakey when I try
to synchronize it with the two older SBs (squeezebox3). RIght now it
appears synched but plays no audio; other times attempting to synch has
disrupted the audio from all the others. Known problem? Anything I
should try?

Question: Are they all on the same server (SBS or Msb.com)? Just a wild
stab.
yes, all on the same server, all on the same IP subnet/broadcast
domain, but one on a wireless hub and the other two on the same wired
hub as the server.

Sometimes the audio will stop when initializing Sync, but then they
should all Sync and play fine.

Could be a distinct Sync issue, hard to tell. I'd still try it wired
just to eliminate possible WiFi issues.
I Sync three players without issue, Radio (WiFi), Boom (WiFi), SB3
(wired) so I know the Radio is capable of it.

Thanks for following up. Not sure I understand: what would I look at to
set the players up at the same # for buffering?
