I'll add a data point since I learned so much from this group when I was
trying to determine a fit. 6'2" here, measured 93 PBH. Reasonably tight
hips and glutes which make drop bars not a fun experience on most bikes.
Started with a new LHT spring '17 and followed Surly and LBS sizing with a

I seemed to be surrounded by Team Tide most of the morning. But my favorite
color is orange so their jerseys were hard to miss!
Had a great experience for my first RAGBRAI and looking forward to doing
more next year. The Atlantis was a great to cruise through the carbon fiber

Who's doing all or parts of RAGBRAI next week? Lifelong Iowa resident here
but this is the first year I'll be joining in the fun, taking in the
Tuesday ride. Couldn't pass up the opportunity since it's reasonably flat

I have a Sam, Joe and Atlantis in the stable (lucky guy!) so I pulled out
my spreadsheet. Here's what I found looking at my old vs listed new:
62 Appaloosa (2017) - no changes to new version
62 Sam (2017, non-canti) - new version has 1 cm more top tube, 3 cm more on
chainstay. Only changes.,

I've gotten a few rides in since they arrived and really like them. The
widened grip makes it feel closer to a Jones H-bar, but not quite as

thinking of a shorter stem to compensate. Here's some picts for comparison

I installed minimotos on a 64 Atlantis with WTB Resolutes, 42mm, and
fenders. They'd clear the fenders but not without lightly rubbing on top of
the fenders when pulled. Very tight fit. I went back to regular cantis to
gain fender clearance both above and below.

They're the perfect fit for the Atlantis. Very comfortable. I had the
Albatross on my Appaloosa and they are a better match for the Atlantis. If
anything I might like them just a touch wider. The Jones bar on the
Appaloosa spoils me with that wide open reach.
Now, of course that won't stop me f
‘tis a 64 indeed. But doesn’t feel that big at all.

Finished the final buildup details last night and couldn’t wait any longer. It
was cool, cloudy and blustery winds, but felt good to get out and shake out any
bugs and fine tune the settings. Frameset came from another member of the bunch

Sam frameset shipped on Monday, dropped off at my FedEx location this
morning. Not bad for California to Iowa. What made me smile was my name
