Hi All, Lots of useful information being traded here. I see that, when trying to squeeze out the last bit of clearance under the fork crown, there's no love for the traditional daruma bolt/nut. I'd like to suggest taking a look at the PlugNut fender mount, which lets you create a flush-mount, c

Thanks, y'all. SKS P45 worked fine for me too for the intial 650b conversion, too. But I tossed them after going fast bike on the Ram this summer. Now the Ram becomes the wet/winter weather bike. Thinking of Berthouds because I have tried SKS and Honjo already. I like the looks of Bertys and the s

I did not know Berthoud made different lengths.I got mine from Peter WHite Cycles. My Berthoud's were shorter than a pairs of VO or Honjo long fenders I have installed. You can install, ride and then see. Ben's cycles sells individual fender stays if you need just one. As for 700c, I am of the

@Brian: Why would you go back to 700c? Any specific reasons? I am looking for reasons to do this. I have thought that maybe since the bike was designed around 700c I might try it again and see how I like it. I have extra 700c wheels to pop in there. @aspgh: My 650b H50's wont fit betweixt ch

When I ran Berthoud's, I did not need a second stay like I do on the VO (alloy) fenders. They are stiffer and don't flop so much. YMMV. On Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1:23:22 PM UTC-4, Lum Gim Fong wrote: > > I will use Sheldon fender nut. Does the stainless Berthoud fender require > something

I would vote to go back to 700x32. Also if you are trying to maximize clearance, try a set of center pull brakes, if you are not using them already and maybe ditch the daruma style mount and use a bracket that mounts at the brake bolt. These are all things that I have done on my AHH and other

Not enough space with P45 and 700c 32mm tires on blue Ram for my tastes. I was thinking of trying my Honjo H50 wiith 700 x 32c and see if the high arched Honjos offer enough room for safe tire passage. Width would definitely be wide enough. Height is the challenge. I always use fender nuts. Neve

I have Honjo H50 fenders (for 32-38 tires per Compass' website) on my Rambouillet with 700x32 Stampede Pass Els. I did switch brakes and replace the OEM Shimano "longer reach" calipers with some Paul Racers. It all works well.

Lum, I'm not sure Berthouds are going to work in either of these instances. I've installed Berthoud fenders on 4 of my bikes and love them. I love them so much, I coincidentally just purchased a set for my Ram which is currently running 700x35 Schwalbe Supremes and P45 SKS fenders. Long stor
